Hi, I have just started the Atkins diet 5 days ago and have lost 4 lbs already. The only problem I have right now is being very, very tired. I'm having trouble getting back to the gym because of it. I'm not sure if the is common or not. Any ideas what I can do?

So far, my life saver has been the Atkin's (and other low or no carb) candy bars. You get the feeling of sugar without the carbs. I don't know if I could have made it through these first few days without them.

I hope this is it for me, I hope this time I finally lose this weight!

Hi and welcome!

Are you taking a good multivitamin plus minerals (magnesium, calcium etc)?
Are you drinking pure water in amount rec. by Atkins? Are you eating fresh veggies? Key questions....still, in the first week of lowcarbing some people are very tired, it's common.
I would take it a little easy on those bars during induction.
