Well, here I am again! I figured I started a new journal that it was time for a new gym log! As of 1/27, I have been on a mission in the gym...get the best butt! lol I have gotten 2 comments on the bum lately but I want to work on it hard core! Also, looking to get way back into the exercise thing! I have been doing great since 1/27. I figured I would start today with recording again here. I took measurements on 1/28:
Measurements:
Neck 13 1/2
Chest 36 1/2
High Waist (Ribcage) 30 1/2
Waist 33
Hips 42 1/2
Thighs R 24 L 23 1/2
Calves 15 1/2
Arms-
Cold: 11 1/2
Flexed: 12 1/4

Not sure about the weight b/c I need to buy a new scale but approx. I am about 183/4. Need to get calipers and take bf%. Also, I took some before pics.

So, here is to a wonderful 2003!!!!!!!

AM cardio 25 mins elliptical...burned 227 cals (This is the first time I have done am cardio in ages!! YEA!)

And I went to the gym tonight and felt GREAT!

Didnt get much working out in this weekend b/c i was away. I did do abs and 40 minutes of shoveling before I left on Friday! What a back workout! lol

I plan on heading to the gym tonight!! :) It feels good to be back in the swing of things!!!

I changed my resistance workout last week and was cracking my friends up this weekend, walking around saying "My ass hurts!" every 5 minutes :lol:

Anyway, sounds like you are doing well and had a fun weekend .. can't say I envy the snow, though :p It was sunny and in the 60s here this past weekend... but before you get too jealous, we are expecting rain this week ;)

Keep up the great work... and cheery attitude! It's nice to read such a positive journal!

Looking forward to the avatar (hint hint), I am such a non-techie, Nat had to shrink my pic for me so I could even post it! :rolleyes:

Ok, first day of the ABC program. I did pretty well. It is a lot to remember but I had my clipboard along with me. Forgot a couple things (ex: first set of close grip pulldowns, forgot to do the funky one and half rep) but I got the hang of it. My chest and back are going to be sore tomorrow! Dont worry...glutamine is my friend! :)

Day #1
Chest/Back/Shoulders

10 min elliptical warmup, burned 88 cals

Decline Bench Press (I used the ISO Decline Press Machine)
x12 60lbs (too light)

x12 60 lbs (went to failure and got 17 reps)
Static set.....stripped weight down to 50lbs and held for 30 secs in extension

Remember me?! LOL It has been too long since I posted in here. I have a lot of energy after a stressful couple of months and am back in the swing of things again. My workout plan for the next few months will look like this:

Thurs- Off (or maybe cardio)

I will work abs on some days too...just not sure when yet. I will do this plan until my winter basketball league is over and then I will change it.

Forgot to look at the distance b/c I was so siked with how awesome I felt this morning! :) I decided to do some intervals about half way through the workout. I kicked some BUTT! lol Sprinted for 2 mins, normal for 2, sprint, normal... ended up buring 371 cals....the whole time I kept thinking, I gotta look hot in my bikini! lol

Tried to go to the gym tonight but drove around for 5 mins and not ONE spot opened up....came home and did Taebo video for 40 mins...counting it as lifting (legs!!) and cardio...feelin' good!

i just wanted to say hi and that you are an inpiration to me :)

my goal weight is about the same as yours (I am 5 11).. i want to be really strong.. looking forward to lifting 20 pound weights one day LOL (even 10 would be cool). My work schedule is so crazy and I dont have a gym to join so im doing what i can at home..

im getting into weights (if you can call 5 lbs getting into them haha) and cardio.. im really trying but have had a bad last week.. anyhow this isnt about me its all about you! :)

hey i love your new avatar :) you look so healthy and vibrant!

ive been having a bit of trouble sticking with the workouts.. but my work makes me stay on my feet for at least 8 hours 5 days a week.. i run back and forth all over the place.. i also have to go across a parking lot 2-4x a day.. i know im getting exercise, just not what i would like to have.

tomorrow is my day off and DH and i will be going for a long walk.. i love those days :)

Oh wow! Look at the visitors in my gym log and I haven't been here in WAYYYYY too long!! I have been exercising just not recording. Cardio has been fine but I need to kick the weightlifting and abs up a notch this month!!

Here are my goals for June:

My butt and inner thighs are a bit sore today...all those squats in stinkin' plié (plee-ay) stance. I hate it but love it at the same time! :)
Your arms get quite a workout b/c with all the moves, your arms are doing something and they are up for so long.
Should be interesting tomorrow with weights.
So, Start it Up phase is over and tomorrow it will be on to the Ramp it Up phase!!!

PM Basketball game....we won by forfeit but we stayed around to play so I ran for 27 minutes! :)

Debbie is kicking my butt!! lol MY butt is stillsore from before. This video is longer and harder than the first one (obviously). I was doing pretty well until she went crazy and tried to get me to do all kinds of leg lifts in a row...she must have been smokin' something! :) My goal is to be able to do all of them by the end of this tape. We'll see....
Oh, and I better get some killer abs from all the crazy stuff she was making me do in a row! lol

I am restarting RIU. I just could not manage to get it through it consequtively. I am giving it a good faith effort...even if it kills me. Thos extra minutes on RIU are killer but I hear that Burn It UP is even longer. wah wah wah...who has time.

Afternoon Workout:
Week 1 Day 4: Ramp it Up! Workout went a bit better than yesterday. I did a little better with the leg lifts but they still kicked my butt! Noticed today that Debbie doesnt do the ab exercises with us. Damn her!!! She needs to feel the pain, like me! :)

PM Basketball game--
We usually have like 12 people show up and it is awful. Tonight we had 5 and we rocked! :) I played really well and we finally won a game! (Ok, we've won 3 but the other 2 were b/c the team forfeited).

My knees are REALLY sore this morning so when Debbie and I workout, a whole lot of stuff is going to be modified!!

Week 2 Day 10: Supposed to be Ramp it Up. was going to workout when I got in from kids basketball game but we had to go to Rich's place and clean up so they could show the place today so we didnt get in until midnight. So, extra day off this week. First I felt guilty but now I am happy I took it b/c I was not into the video the past couple times. Worked out this morning and was back into the swing so maybe I needed that extra day. Plus, got exercise in cleaning and moving things in Rich's room.

OK....not really sure what has been going on with me. I have been making way too many excuses and finding things to do rather than go to the gym. Why the heck am I doing this? I like going to the gym...I like doing cardio, I like lifting....*sigh* No more sabotaging myself! I need to sit down sometime this weekend and figure out a plan of attack for the gym next week. I have one more week before my other job starts so I want to give myself a week of getting up and heading straight to the gym and then getting ready fro my day before it is actually the following week. This way I can tweek the times and see exactly what is/is not working for me in the AM.

I notice when you list doing sets with different weights, you put the smallest weight first. Is that because you do the smallest weight first? If so, what's the logic. Or is it a convenient way to input your gym journal.
