Okay.. I guess its time for a fitness log.
I don't know why I put this off, but I found a site that describes what I do.
I workout at home as this fits with my lifestyle and the two ladies in my life. My daughter and my roommate that I work with, that has down's syndrome.
With two jobs.. working at home with tapes is my poison of choice :-)
I know many don't think that you can get a good workout unless you are at a gym.. ..but after these months of watching my sister I know that isn't true.
SO.. Here I am :-)
I will be posting my next four week rotation shortly.

I guess its because I read on the Firm and the Fit Prime forums about Husbands that have watched wives sweat it out for months doing it this way..then denigrate it.
On the other hand I worked with a personal trainer once that said that he knew "firmies" when they came in because they had such good form...
but its good to see you hear.
In the morning I do Super Sculpt and Scuplted abs hips and thighs... If I have time for more I will throw upper body in.
Before I go much further with this I need to just post again the story of a man I knew as a patient I worked with once.
Because of the sort of facility that he was in and the fact that he was about the worst "flight risk" patient we had ever seen getting out of his ROOM was not possible, let alone allow him up to the weight room in another building on the site.
But this man had the most incredible body I have ever seen..
From THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of pushups and squats he did daily. He would do hundreds of each..and then rest for a couple of hours, then do it again. And that is all he had been doing at least for the year previous to that in another facility he was staying in at the time.
I literally was telling the RN that I worked with to put her tongue back in her mouth and close it when the guy was in our office having any sort of exam. It was that rock hard and defined.
I know many of the "rules' that we read..but I realize WHY many of the rules are made the way that they are... however... Rules are always meant to be bent.. or even broken if the result you want is different..
Okay
Tomorrow I will have a better idea of what I am doing next time.
I will be adding a FitPrime tape and a Cathe DVD to my collection.. that may help with what I am doing..
I hope so. I hope they are as "heavy' as I am looking for.

I had thought about changint it to "Total Body Shaping mix".. but I can be a dork.. and I Misplaced the tape..
I found it AFTER the work out.. so this is a good thing as I plan it for my next rotation
ON the hare.. I use 4 pound, 5 pound, 12 pound and 15 pound dumbells as well as 5 pound ankle weights.

I am hoping to get all my plates and my other star lock dumbells from my ex.. that will help with my needing to up my weights on my exercises.
I also want to get 10 pound ankle weights with the bars you can take OUT of the weight set.. with velcro.. so I can move fast enough for these workouts.
I know that I am using
TT, TT2, Total Body shaping mix,
Standing legs and upper body.. and the new tape hopefully from Fitprime and the DVD from Cathe that is slow and heavy with divided upper and lower body..
And.. I will add a bit of leslie Sansone this time.
I am still working out the details.

I upped the weight for a few exercises.. like the flies to 10 and 12 lbs..and stuck with my 15 for lat pulls.

I did super Scuplting, with my 5 pound plates on the barbell.
I also used my 15, 12, 10, 8, 5 and 4 pounders. I pretty much ignore the three pounders these days.
I also did Standing legs,but I took the plates down to 2 1/2 pounds for that.
I did ab scuplt and the three mile walk for the abs with Leslie Sansone.. and with all that lower body work..what I really feel is my triceps.. go figure!
I bought some creatine today..I want to see if that will help me make any strides.

I will soon have the Cathe tapes and DVD. This is a good thing as her focus is different than The Firm and muscle confusion is a great thing.
I hope to be able to incorporate those later this week.
However tomorrow I am doing total body shaping mix, Upper body, Sculpted abs hips and thighs and 30 minutes Leslie sasone.

I did Firm tough tape 2 and 1/2 Standing legs.
I also did ab sculpt..
I was tired and just had a hard time moving
Today I did Tough Tape ( that would be the first one) and upper body, Scuplted abs hips and thighs and a 30 minute walk with Leslie.
I have upped weights on some exercises and plan to get some 5 pounders this week to up on deltoids slowly :-)

Because I got the Cathe DVD in the mail yesterday..
Starting tomorrow I have planned a different schedule for what I am doing.
On Friday and Tuesday. I will do part two in the early morning, then when the girls leave I will do Firm total body shaping mix and a 30 minute walk with leslie.
On Saturday and Wednesdaywill do part one and Scuplted abs hips and thighs and a 30 minute tape with Leslie.
On monday and Thursday I will do part three and super scuplt and a 30 minute walk tape.
I think that should do great things!
I did the legs part with Cathe today to try and "break" in I didn't do as many reps on many things and dropped weights down to get used to how she moves.
It should b e interesting to use as heavy as I am
I did put 10 more pounds on the barbell to start.

But I will admit that I did some just beginning weights this morning for Cathe.
I didn't know how I would do..but on many of them I can go up a pound or two. ( deltoid work) She does a compound clean and press I really love.
The Total body shaping mix went well...and did the abs and Leslie..all in all I feel good today.

I am impressed. I just found your gym log. You are awesome with your workouts.

I too work from home office and can workout whenever I see fit.
I have readjusted my workout routine as I am halfway thru my second challenge. I have decided to not do the pyramid method as recommended by Bill Phillips. I am now doing 4 sets of 10 each of muscle groups with highest weight that I used doing pyramid.

So now instead of say for instance shoulders
12 reps of 5#
10 reps of 8#
8 reps of 10#
6 reps of 15#
12 reps of 10#
12 reps of 10# (different exercise but same muscle group)

I am now doing 4 sets of 10 each for every muscle group.
My workout was awesome this morning, I hope I can walk later, my legs feel like lead right now!

I decided a gym log would be a good way for me to really start focusing on that and giving when I up weights ect..

And I didn't compare what I can do to Cathe and crew.
I took out my five pound plates and that is what I used for the barebell during the leg workout today.
I also stuck with 8's and 10's right now for lunges without the barbell and other such exercises. with cathe. I will make much faster progress that way :-)
I also did sculpted buns, hips and thighs. I still like the firm for floor work over what I have with Cathe..
and I did 30 minutes with Leslie walking.. gotta love that woman..even if your doing pretty well you can work up a sweat with her tape without killing yourself.
Off to have a bit of fun today!

I had a great workout.
Super scuplt went better than I have ever had it go before.
I bought some sixes the other day so that I can move up on deltoid work.. going from 5's to 8's is too big a jump all at once for me.
The 6's actually came in handy when for a lark I just decided to do half of Firm Upper Body.
I used them on a couple of standing deltoid sets and a set of Triceps kick backs.
Today was the first day I did Cathe back, biceps and abs.
I took the weight still lower just so I can get used to the workout today. She did do some good spinal erector stuff after the abs.
I am feeling it in the lower back.
I also did a 30 minute walk away the pounds...
so I am good to go for the day!

I did my Firm Total Body Shaping mix..but had a hard time at some of the aerobics part..
Like I couldn't get enough air today.. actually Leslie was harder that way than usual.
I also did my Chest, Deltoids and triceps work.
That went a bit better.
I went up a little on some of the sets.. so that is progress
I also got The firm Tough Aerobics and it looks to be a great tape.

I am still working on the stand and sit squats at a nice heavy weight.
Moderate will have to do for those in the mean time

I didn't completely do all of my planned workout.
I shifted buns, hips and thighs to today. and did the Super Scuplt.
I am really loving that tape.. alot!
I also did concentrated heavy work with Cathe with Back and Biceps work.
But I will admit to being tired..and now crampy..TOM starting today.. so that should be of short duration.
My son called late last night adding to the general feeling of being "weak".
But.. I was glad to hear from him

Well I did the total body Shaping mix and then worked my chest, deltoids and Triceps.
That tapes works well with the firm because on about everything they work it from "different" angles than the firm.. giving a whole new focus to each muscle group.
I also did my walk today :-)
I am still so glad it is FRIDAY!

The woman is driving me NUTS!
But I did get standing legs and the heavy leg portion of Cathe's workout done.
I will do the other later..
I suppose I will have rested enough that doing the aerobics after she leaves will be fine.

Today was Super Scuplt and back, biceps and abs.
I like this day..and becuase I am now focusing on the muscle build I really tried to concentrate on each and every move..to do it with as perfect form as I could yet heavy enough to be a challenge for me.
I think I did great, although I am fine tuning the process.
Tomorrow is is total body shaping mix and chest, triceps and deltiods.. should be fun!

And then of course working my chest , deltoids and Triceps.
I was able to accomplish what I wanted with my chest bring the barbell up to 32 pounds. I had thought heavier but still not sure, about the supporting muscles to my chest being able to handle that at this moment.
Since I don't have a weight bench, and need to get the barbell in the right position myself that is the worry.. safety mostly at this point.
But I did reach fatigue in the sets that I did with that and my dumbells.
My triceps and deltoids are harder for me to gauge still about where Im using my weight. I will get that worked out I am sure, but then am left with wondering if I did all that I could.
At least I know I am using perfect form.
I will be able to move my arnold presses up to 8's soon. Which is good as I started at 4.
I think the hardest for me to gauge the weight on is the triceps press. I think next time I wll start with 12's and if I have to go down. Today I started with 8's. Big mistake. to easy.
Oh well!

Well I did the Cathe lower body, standing legs 3/4 of the tape, and sculpted buns, hips and thighs.

I am still trying to get the weights just about right to be doing what I think I can still do.
So on saturday for Cathe I am putting on another five pounds of plates. I think that might just about be right for all of the exercises.
I hurried through because I though Byron was going to be here, and of course he is not here yet.
I am trying to stay focused on the workout. It can be a struggle and I have a harder time with my lower body, but I will keep working at this.
I know I am on the right track.

Well today I did my usual Super Scuplt and Cathe for biceps and back.
I think that I am going to switch and do saturday's workout tomorrow..and give my deltiods one more day of rest and see how that goes.
So..I am getting psyched to do another very heavy lower body workout!
I upped weights.but still need on a few exercises to up more
I am using 20 now on Lat pulls.

To save the Deltoids a bit.
I work a bit harder on Saturday to..because I don't have to go to work. so that will be a good thing
I did the lower body workout out with Cathe and scuplted abs, hips and thighs.
I didn't add any standing legs today due to time restraints..I needed the extra few minutes sleep!
I upped my barbell weight another five. I think that is just about where I need it for now!

I did just sit out one aerobic portion, but did everything else.
And then I did the Cathe chest,deltiods and triceps.
I really felt those triceps today and my shoulder area is "tired'.
A very good thing!

Today is rest day, but I am planning on getting my body for life and body rx books soon.
I also have the rotation I plan for myself for the next 4 weeks set in rough draft in my mind.
I will be using Cathe, Standing legs, Upper body and then a series of the firm total body workouts.
I think it will be good while I decide on Body for life, body rx.. :-)
that I realize will be a full commitment!

Well today of course was one of my fav Firms..
Super Scuplt moves fast..but in such an order you can heavy up.. which I did for my double arm lat pulls.. up to the 12's.
I also made sure I kept using my barbell for the leg press.. which has to be one of the hardest series of Leg press they ever did.
My Thighs felt it..
Tanya knows that I really want to budge the stuff off my arms and my legs.. LOL.
she got my mom's legs.. lucky girl. and I got my legs from her mother.. Uuggghy!
Then I did the back, bicep and ab workout with Cathe.
Again on some I upped the weights.
I didn't with biceps..but I am concentrating on perfect from
I have the Body RX book.. interesting information!

And then I did heavier cathe with Chest, deltoids and triceps.
I know I worked the triceps well today..
They were jelly!
I also took out the possibilities for next months rotation.
I think its going to be good.

even thought it was lower body and I do struggle with that.
I was able to do great form on everything..
hurray!
and I did both the Cathe and the Standing legs. I still can't believe how well it went. I upped weights on portions of standing legs.. so I am feeling good
i also did the sculpted abs, hips and thighs.
I am about to retire that tape for a couple of months..just to keep my body guess... I will sub five day abs or ab scuplt for a bit for that.
Or maybe even a bit of Susan Harris first tape for floor work ( the hardest floor work I have!)
But.. It was good. can't wait for tomorrow!

I am feeling swelling in the breat area..
At this point I am never sure if its hormones..
Or the chest work with Cathe.. LOL

I did firm strength today.. purely because I wanted to
I realize that soon I am going to have to give away my three pounders even for aerobics. because I just don't use them!

I used the 15's for all the lunges, dips and squats today..
it hit me I might have to break down for 20's.. even with having the star lock system.

I will have to see.. I guess I do have other workout priorities first!

Today I Jumped..or crawled back into tough tape...
I keep forgetting they named it well.
Its still the non stop aerobic weight training that gets me with that one!
I did parts of upper body today..
but just tried to be ready for the rest of my day.
Tomorrow I have slated Maximum body shaping and standing legs..
Next day.. super scuplt and back, biceps and abs with Cathe..
Thursday will be a rest day again.
I think I am needing it..
but will challenge myself to do more.. and work harder and heavier with what I do.

Well today was super scuplt. I have been feeling so much better I will drop the cathe for at least another week.. and get caught up..

I do like super scuplt.. and kept that barbell on my shoulders for the leg press.. NOW that is endurance!! Tanya will know what I mean. its the hardest set of leg press in any firm tape..but it hurts so good!
Tomorrow is a rest day..and then Friday its on to either Body scuplt or BBB...
I got that on vcd today.

Well today I decided on better body and buns..
Its a great tape...and .. ta da! I made it through the "jumps" section..
My sister will know the one I mean.
I DID all of them Tanya..
and did them well..
I can also move up on weight on several section. in fact I did.. but I can do a bit more. Like 12's for the plies and 8's for a military press. So next week it will be 15's and 10's..

So.. very cool.
I have felt weaker.. but see progress from what I was doing last october!!

Well today was complete aerobic weight training with Jayne.
Again as with yesterday I was able to accomplish a great deal more than I was able a couple of months back and with the higher aerobic step and weights than before.
That is cool
I used my 6 inch for all the aerobic portions.
I was able to use the 6lb weights for the short leg press section, 10s for double armed lat pulls
It was just good :-)
Did much of Standing legs also.... as you all know I am very concious of the fact that I am a pear

I did that one today.
Using heavier weights still.
I also got Core Cardio in the mail from an ebay auction yesterday.
I think I really like the upper body on that one.
The lower body looks intense with a tough cardio segment preceeding our Favorite Leg Press tanya.. LOL
And then followed by another tough cardio.. I can hear you wheezing now!
Tomorrow is super scuplt.. I will challenge myself on that one!

Was good today..although I wore out my right leg so much in the leg press, it failed just standing there trying to do the left leg.. how funny is that?

I don't know if something is happening that they see....or what.
But Its a good thing.
I tell them. I love them.. simply they are the fastest best thing I have seen with the body types that show the result I am looking for.. :-)

Its a fun workout.. what can I say.. even when they let the engergizer bunny, jen Carmen take over..
Man. that little thing lifts heavier and moves faster than any Firm instructor I know.
I got the notification today that Suzan Harris new tape has been filmed..so it should be out and edited soon I would guess
She was the first instructor on tape at the firm and folks love her dearly
I will have to see when to get that one.. but I have the Tracie Long ones to get first.
Tomorrow is complete Aerobic weight training. with a little standing legs.
Next week twice a week I am going to add upper body with a few heavier weights.
Just concentrate on that.

Its a great tape.. the one that I did for today..
Thank goodness its sort of a intermediate type tape..
with sets and forms that are a bit less instense
But I am sticking with this. I am committing to five days a week.
Period.
EArly mornings or whatever I have to do.. but I just have to keep this up at this point.

A tape I still really like even when I am tired :wave:
I just held back a little on the amount of weight I use. .going down just a bit. and I do just fine through the whole thing.
Most I use is my 15's for squats and lat rows.
Used four for deltoid work.. .so that gives a range I work with.

This is still a great tape even if right now I "feel' wiped out..
I am still just taking it down a notch.. but not all the way to the beginning weights.. until I can get my wind back
But I won't stop exercising.. no way..
My promise all those months ago was at least 1 30 minute leslie walk if I can't do another thing and that still is my bottome line!

I did total Body shaping mix.. I only was careful on a few of the plyo's and bunny hops for this darn knee of mine.
Its going to sound funny but I hope that I have only stressed or hurt it somewhere along the line and its not arthritis bothering me!

I didn't do the top weights that I am able..as right now I want to get back into the idea that exercise is fun and a joy.. not a push myself to be something I am not. and miss the real joy of exercising.
I am going to exercise on my weekends.. which means an early sunday session to get on with my sabbath.. but I can't figure out another way right now for my energy levels.

Today I picked up Joyce Vedral's Fat burning workout.
I liked it a few years ago..
So I think while I am having this drain.. this is what I am going to do.. I am actually excited about it.. and I do walking
I believe in exercise.. :-)
