I was told once, can't remember by whom, that there is a supplement that can help reduce sugar cravings. I think it may have been an amino acid, but I can't remember. If anyone has any info, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Arnie

L- glutamine and ALA will help with sugar cravings. ALA functions as a glucose disposal agent - it mimics insulin. You can read a little bit about it here (http://www.altdiabetes.com/Summary/Details/Lipoic%20Acid.htm).

Glutamine (http://www.alternativedr.com/conditions/ConsSupplements/Glutaminecs.html) is probably the most essential non-essential amino acid going. It functions to boost the immune system, to help muscle recovery, to reduce cortisol levels, and to inhibit food and alcohol cravings.

The sticky at the top of this forum "Supplement Resources" contains links to various websites with reviews of supplements that should be of some use to you as well.
