Does anyone know the formula for conversion? I'm comparing readings with an American friend and we are not speaking the same language! Thanks.

To get both measurments in the same units, multiply the Canadian measurement by 18. (Or, if you prefer, divide the American measurement by 18).

Yes the conversion factor from mg/dL to mmol/L is 18 for blood sugar only.

The US is the only country in the world that has not yet adopted the SIU system (Standard International Units). Everyone else speaks the same language ;)

Thanks very much, Caroly and doreen.
(Do you think they will adopt the International Standard when we annex them, Doreen?)
