OK-I'm gonna try to log in every day i go to the gym along with daily food log. Maybe with some luck and determination this will actually work this time!

Monday-7/8 Body Pump class at Gold's Gym- killer class
Tues 7/9 The Firm aerobic body sculpt
Yoga ~ golds sore from body pump-took loads of glutamine to help

Weds-no workout had meetings all day
Thurs-no workout

Friday-Jon's killer body sculpt class-
Sat no work out-still sore from Jon's class-

Diet sucked this week-OD'd on Italian Bread from the Italian Store in Arlington. :rolleyes: BAD GIRL, but boy it was good!!!! Gonna do better tomorrow.

OK! Back on induction since Monday.
Monday: Body pump
Tuesday: no class
Weds: Body sculpt

Got 0 carb egg protein shake mix from Vitamin Shoppe. 24 g protein 0 carb. Tastes good.

No booze and keeping carbs down to <20
water intake high
Like the s/f DaVinci Rootbeer with seltzer....Tastes like a REAL root beer, great treat.

Tomatoes coming in from garden! yummy...genoa salami with Ken's Italian with a chopped tomato is making me very happy. Now I can afford the carbs of tomato with the 0 carb shake(which is really good with Orange DaVinci s/f syrup added to the vanilla shake is like a creamsicle :D

had a killer body sculpt class today with Debra at Golds. Drank alot of water but still need more. Doing good with food.
Breakfast 6 slices Genoa Salami, 1/2 tomato (from my garden) :D
with some Ken's Italian dressing. Forgot my supplements but did remember my Glutamine!!!
Lunch: bacon cheeseburger-no roll-salad w/ranch
Dinner: Steak on the grill!!! Salad with garden tomatoes and cukes.
Maybe for a snack some more DaVinci's Root Beer (s/f syrup) and seltzer BUT-some low carb vanilla ice cream or maybe whipped cream would make a great root beer float

Lunch-Steak (leftover from dinner last nite) Tomato w/Ken's Italian

Dinner-going to the Blues Jam at Surfside tonight- boyfriend Linwood is hosting, should be fun! Gonna have some good old Maryland Blue Crabs tonight! Yummy. Gonna try to resist the Ice Cold Beer that would go sooooooo well with them.

Supplements: B complex, Posassium, 2 Mega Women vit's, 2 memory pills, 3 cal/mag/zinc, 100 mgs co q-10 (hereafter-daily supplements)

Yoga today. Maybe do a Firm tape before the jam when I get home from work.

Will edit this tomorrow to see how I did.

OK-so I wasn't so good last night. I split a pitcher of beer (lite)with Caroline and had a bunch of crabs and listened to some killer blues.

Today
Breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs, 4 pieces of bacon & 2T salsa
Lunch: 1 ear of corn(fresh from farmers market) 1/2 tomato, 1 baby cuke, salami (7 slices) and Kens Italian dressing.
Dinner??? Definatly-minimal carbs, steak and salad.

Had a killer work out with Jon. Body Sculpt. Had a major endorphine rush!!!! Drank a liter and a half of water in class. Pushed the concentration curls, 10 lbs, 8 sets of 8 squats, 2sets of 20 pushups(The Knee kind) at that point i called him an evil man!!! :eek: then 10 more!!! No lunges thank god. Triceps, leglifts till my muscles got really mad at me...Killer ab work. 45 min class. He's the best instructor.
More later.
Better hit the glutamine.

For Dinner Friday Nite: Lump crab on sale, made crabcakes no breadding, just egg and mayo, YUM!
1 ear of fresh corn, tomato with Kens.

Saturday:
Leftover crabcake with 2 poached eggs and cantalope, 2 slices of bacon.

Just got back from Golds. Took a 30 min ab class!!!! :eek:
Then got my butt on a lifecycle L3 interval for 25 mins 200 cals burned and rode 9 miles. Pretty good ride for day 2 if I do say so myself :p

will edit later for food. Gonna go cook a steak on my G.Forman grill! I sound like a walking commercial!!!

Getting revved up for a good Body Pump Class at 11:30. Gotta try and get cals up a bit today. Appetite is not happening. Been doing good, just a little sore from prior wkouts. Thank goddess for Glutamine. No "stress relief" vodka's after work all week cuz ya know, I'm in training!!! :daze:

Went to see Robert Cray at Wolf Trap...what a great show, had lawn tickets, perfect night, packed a picknic dinner, sandwich for Linwood and Ham and Cheese slices for me. No wine, I'm in training!!! :mad:

Doing well with food percentages per Trainer Dan but probably need to up the protein. If anyone reads this I would like comments!!!!:

Got my body sculpt class at 11:45 today with Jon. I know it will be a killer. Loaded with glutamine 20 gms. Took a stacker 8AM.

Had protein shake for breakfast.

This weekend we'll be heading up to Winchester VA. Linwood has a gig tonight and Sat nite there. Will have to keep up the willpower. Been doing so well all week.

OK-another killer body sculpt class, after 9 sets of 8 squats I thought I was gonna die! Then we did lunges...then we did leg lifts...then we did pushups, lat raises, etc, etc, etc!!!! Jon (instructor) said-Maybe we should hold the class outside!!! Its only 105 degrees in the shade and 80% humidity....I told him he had evil tendencies!!!! :devil:
Kidding!!! My Friday sculpt class is always great!!

I can't believe that more than 1/2 of the class didn't have any water bottles with them. Don't they know how important it is to keep hydrated!!

For lunch:

Gonna skip the carb up this weekend.
Linwood is off to Dallas/FW on tour. GOne for 3 week :tears:

Did 11 miles L4 on Lifecycle in AM. No moring distractions so I'll do my cardio then. 30 mins. burned 300 cals.

Will go to body pump class today at noon.

Well, I'm missing my honey. He won't be back for another 2 1/2 weeks. Well, at least I'm getting my early morning cardio in, no morning distractions :(

Oh well, not seeing movement on the scales. I know,I know a scale is lesson in frustration.

I know everyone says that I'll lose inches...It's not happenin'!

Well, I've only been back in REAL training for less than 2 weeks. That means no happy hour cocktails- destressing vodkas-crap-well-none for 1 1/2 wks.

<sigh> If I stick to my program, do you think it will work? I'm really giving it my ALL this time. I'm not just dieting, and I'm not just exercising....I'm doing both. I 'm finding fitday really helps me keep track.

Body sculpt today so no am cardio.
OK I'm back from body sculpt...my killer friday class with Jon. OMG I don't think I have ever heard so many groans in one class! We did mega squats, lunges, adductor leg lifts (my muscles were SCREAMING :help:
then on to upper body, lats and delts, bicepts (my favorite cuz I can see my muscles forming amd it makes me feel cool-like I'm tuff :p
then-onto abs...when I first started, I couldn't do one military sit up (that was back in December 01) now I can keep up with the class!
My thighs are getting tighter! I wish I could lose the fat.
I need to eat but I'm not hungry.
More later!

Breakfast: lo carb pancakes...they were excellent! I tried the apple spice flax o meal pancakes.

I'll be working around the house today-no gym-But I'm gonna take 20gms of glutamine in a minute as my ass is sore from the mega lunges from jon's class yesterday!!! :( Weell, I guess that means i was doing them right!! Thats not the only thing that is sore! All my major muscle groups are sore for that matter! I wish he taught mon and weds as well as fridays, I'd be in shape in no time...or dead :daze: -one of the two!!!

Well, gonna have 2 leftover lo carb flax o meal pancakes for breakfast with my glutamine! 3 slices bacon and maybe a fried egg...more later....

Its so funny, I'm at 5 mins into my ride, I just want to die, then something happens and its 15 mins into my ride and I just want to keep going. Then its 30 mins-I'm done and I could do another hour if time permitted. Well, maybe thats an exaggeration, but ya know what I mean. Its just getting over the 5 min mark.

Body pump today at noon.

Breakfast: 6 slices genoa salami, 2 slices lean ham, 1/2 chopped garden tomato, 1 baby cuke 1T kens italian dressing. 1 nutty muffin at 2 carbs.

Dinner not hungry, had lo carb icecream gonna go make a protein shake...Mmmmmmm, good-1 scoop vanilla protein powder and 1 scoop of egg protein powder, a little cream and some davinci's blueberry syrup and a few blueberries....It works for me!

Got a heavy workout day tomorrow...Got Jon's class...always a killer, and will do some cardio tomorrow PM.
Fitday is down so can't do carb counts...

Had dinner with Bron and Maureen last nite. It was fun. Went to Santa Fe Cafe in Rosslyn. It was nice they called cuz Linwood's out of town.

I'm feeling better-stomach bug almost gone...I did get to the gym, Had a major upper body and ab work out. I'm gonna need a booby rub later :D my pecks are already starting to get sore.

Had a substitute in for Debra's class, I overdid it.

Oh Well, at least I'm up and about...good thing about stomach bugs is that I lost 3 lbs...probably just water.

No work out or cardio today...Linwood got in late-3:30 AM..So stayed up with him till 5 and talked about the trip, he was wired from driving 18 hours!

Still really sore from Weds work out, Got Jon's work out tomorrow. Will be in pain for sure!

Gonna try to incorporate some of BFL's food list to my eating program.

Gonna write off yesterday.
Had some potato salad from Red Hot and Blue (only the best in the world!) at Suz's BBQ last nite, 2 Heinekins and lettuce and tomato salad for dinner- only problem was the potato salad gave me indigestion and had to take pepto bismol before bed.

OK-Did my second spin class last night. I was so happy that I was able to improve form and last the whole class. I will take another spin class def on Sunday.

BUT-TODAY- I had my killer body sculpt class with Jon. Did some major shoulder stuff and lunges and squats and leg lifts (all till my muscles were SCREAMING!) :eek:

But its the hardest class but the most challenging (aside from the spinning).

Gonna get my buddy Tony to do my body mass composition. And he'll give me suggestions. I think he feels sorry for me cuz I'm at the gym everyday and I'm not losing weight, in fact-I've gained 7 lbs-YES YES YES-I KNOW muscle weighs more than fat, but My closthes are NOT getting bigger either. :mad:
Pity is a good thing, maybe he'll offer some good avise. I can only hope and keep going and doing what I'm doing.

3 T tuna salad

dinner: 1 ck breast 1/2 sweet potato 1 t butter

snack 1 sf eskimo pie pop: damn good!

Had Tony at Golds Gym do my body fat composition. It came in at 24% down from 29-30% when I started.
I'm soooo happy :p

I guess all this hard work IS working.

'Kay! So, I'm hooked on spinning! Took the spin class again last night and it was the best so far. At the pinnacle of the ride we are doing a standing climb on 80-90% resistance and i was ready to drop when the music changed and the Black Crowes came on "She talks to Angels" blasted and that got me thru!!! Oh the power of music :D

So, Its been a trippy day here in beautiful downtown Arlington Va. THe same exact type of beautiful weather we had on that fateful day one year ago when the jet smashed into the Pentagon about 1/4 mile away(if that) from where I'm sitting now. I will never forget that day. Linwood was in Hong Kong and got "stuck" there for an additional week- poor baby!! :rolleyes: I gotta tell ya, seeing the site at the Pentagon and the black smoke billowing up, and the tail end of the jet sticking out was the most surreal thing I have ever seen in my 41 years of existence :cry:

Only 5 people showed up for Body Sculpt today which is unheard of but we have alot of military and civillians who work at the Pentagon or affiliate offices who among others were effected by the tragedy. Just wish the media would back off some. I'm not even gonna mention my own personal trama of that day.

Everyone has their own memories of that day-whether they are here at Penagon, NYC or watching on tv in your own neck of the woods. Those pictures are forever etched in our minds.

My day was totally screwed up by hoodlums who came around our neighborhood and shot out car windows with a pellet gun. Nice. Nice. I was one of the 20 cars that got it.
Beautiful downtown Alexandria Va. Well, couldn't drive my car so I was at the mercy of friends to get me to and from work.

No gym class.
