Hey there everybody.

I'm starting the zone diet tomorrow. I'm hoping to lose just over a stone on the diet.
However, I'm a little confused. In the 2 books that i have read, "Mastering the Zone" and "The Zone Diet". I think i've calculated that i need to consumme 9 blocks of protein per day. However, the offical zone website stipulates that everybody should consumme a minimum of 11 blocks of protein. Im confused!!!
If anybody could put me straight on this point that would be great. I really want to get zoning correctly and lose this bloomin weight once and for all. The faster the better.
Also, if anybody has got any tips or sound advice they could share with me that would be brill.

Look forward to your feed back.

The revised guidelines for minimum blocks is 11. 9 blocks is only about 900 calories. Dr. Sears did a study that showed that people did better on the diet when they ate at least 11 blocks. There was a discussion on this subject recently on the www.drsears.com forum. That forum and the zoneperfect forums get more traffic than this one and have lots of useful info. They also have the updated carb block listing. The old caarb guides didn't subtract the fiber. So good news - more food! Good luck!
