I thought I would finally make an introduction post and be a little more active. My name is Jeff and I've been lurking around here since mid December. I subsequently started my LCHF lifestyle journey on 12/26/15 and have lost 25lbs so far.

After many "diets" over the years, I am doing my best not to use that word this time around. I have finally come to understand that this has to be an enduring lifestyle choice and not just a vehicle to get me to a specific number on the scale. In the past, I would always hit my number only to restart the eating habits/choices that got me in trouble in the first place.

Welcome Jeff

Congrats, 25 pounds already!...must be because snowman melt away in Tampa   You know the plan, so use this forum to get Support. Start a journal or join a buddy group, post on the TDC. Have you read Ken's inspiring milestone story how he changed his idea about "diets" with No Cheats Ever? http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=465302

While you are losing weight, reconsider your "Reward" and the "Finish Line" Mentioned in this thread: http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=468195 plus other good tips on habit change. Your reward for meeting your goal weight can NOT be eating carbage again, it should be something to reinforce your LC lifestyle and new found good health. http://www.inc.com/gretchen-rubin/why-we-shouldn-t-reward-ourselves-for-good-habits.html

All the best,

Just Jo
