Hello all! I am new to this forum and looking forward to networking with you all throughout my LC journey. A little about myself....I did Atkins about 10 years ago...lost 10 lbs in one week and 40 over the course of 3 months. I have since gotten married, had a child, divorced, gained weight, etc. I tried WW which worked ok for me and i lost 25 lbs over the course of 4 months. I recently quit smoking in January 2013 and quickly gained back the 25 lbs I had lost so i'm now the heaviest I have ever been (with the exception of being pregnant).

Now that I have a handle on the nicotine cravings...I'm ready to DROP THIS WEIGHT and keep it off. I'm following the new Atkins and I started Induction last week but I didn't follow the book to a tee and I think I actually gained weight. Staring over today. Looking forward to your insight!

Welcome!
Please re-read the Atkins book and follow the induction plan as written...it can work for you again. Dr. Edes had some good insights into doing Low Carb the "second-time around"..and the learning how to cheat section seems to be a big issue with many returnees:
