Zahnweh

Hi, I'm Zahnweh, I've been suffering from an eating disorder for most of my teenage and adult life. My sedentary lifestyle probably didn't help matters much, nor has my occasional eating binges. XD I suffer from anxiety issues and depression which really doesn't help my situation any better. So I wanted to find some help. I've been wanting to fix this for a while, but laziness and lethargy has been making it so easy to just glaze over and be happy with just eating as I have been. My mom finding help and pushing herself to eat well for her sake has kind of helped me as well. I'm gonna try to curb my eating habits somewhat. :) Hello everyone!

Wecome to the forum, Zahnweh. I've suffered from anxiety and depression issues all of my life, so I empathize with your situation.

May I suggest that since you haven't chosen a LC plan that you review the major low-carb plans (http://www.lowcarb.ca/atkins-diet-and-low-carb-plans/) (you'll have to go elsewhere for a review of The Primal Blueprint (http://primalblueprint.com/)). Then buy the book that goes with the plan that seems most suited to your needs at the moment. There are sub-forums here with members who follow each of the plans.

When you start following a low-carb plan, I suggest you check out the Newbies Questions (http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=110) sub-forum, especially the "sticky" posts. Reading those tips can help you avoid some frustration.

I wish you good choices and success on your low-carb journey.
