hi Terry,

My guess is that you're referring to the "Atkins" videos, which aren't really the official Atkins videos, but glorified infomercials from the shopping channel on TV. ???

Um, you posed this question before, and received quite a few replies .. check it out (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=24120). The answer to your question lies therein ;)

As for those "Atkins" videos from Kevin Trudeau, there've been a couple discussions about THAT  .. here (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=35745) and here (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29204).

I think you need to purchase the Atkins New Diet Revolution book and read it cover to cover. From what I have seena nd read the videos have almost no information. Trying to eat LC without the proper knowledge not only sets you up for failure but it can be harmful to your health. Failures due to not following the program correctly is exactly why people discredit the LC plans. They do the program halfway, don't lose weight, ans blow off LC as another "diet" that doesn't work. Until you read the plan-or at least got to the website Atkins site (http://www.atkinscenter.com) (it has lots of information-almost the whole book) don't get too discouraged if you aren't losing weight. You may be doing something wrong if you aren't folowing a specific plan.

One suggestion that was left out of the first thread that Doreen directed you to was reading the the Atkins book. There is a new 2002 edition that will give all the rules and information for a lifetime of successful low-carbing. You won't regret it!
