I am happy to return to this place.
I will be happy to return to the body that this place previously helped me achieve.
I realize that honest journaling here is key to my motivation to lose some weight and to continue with habits that make maintaining the weight loss.
This is my second time around at using the Low Carb Forum as a diet tool.
I successfully low carbed for 4 years, through trying to conceive, a pregnancy, breast feeding, and nearly 2 years of maintenance/trying to lose just a few more pounds.
In retrospect, I realize that trying to squeeze out the last 5 pound loss just so I could "win" may have done more harm than good. After reaching goal, a vacation took me up a few pounds and then I just could not get back on track. It did not help that my husband is a foodie and encouraged me to enjoy dining out and drinking red wine.
After quickly gaining 10 pounds and the gradually adding some pounds over the past 3 years, I find myself ready to find a fabulous me before my 40th b-day.
I can lose weight and stick to the plan when I stick to the plan. I have loads of trouble coming off the plan and getting back on, or placing myself in a situation where I must enjoy in moderation. These are two things I will need to "get over" if I am going to be successful long term.
I'm not feeling to bad about my current weight, and I am trying not to set an unrealistic goal this time around.
I currently weigh 152 pounds, and wear size 10 pants, size 10 dresses, and size 12 jeans. Admittedly over the past several months, some of those size 10 didn't quite fit right.
I would like to always fit into an 8.
The weight I carry is in my arms and hips and thighs.
I started low carbing (this time around) on January 7, the day after my 39th birthday. I have not been tempted to stray. I'm not sure of my starting weight, I purchased a scale after a week of dieting and weighed 156.
I now weigh 152.
Feel free to visit my journal. I hope to be there very day, "Keeping it Real".
