Hello everyone, I'm glad I found this group! You guys all seem so welcoming. My name is Jamie, I'm twenty four, and I live in Washington.
I have been over weight my entire life and have also been yo-yo dieting for my entire life...oy. I started at 267 with Weight Watchers and got down to 255, but it took me 4 months, everyday at the gym. I have been to the doctor's several times about my weight and my insanely slow metabolism and each time they could only recommend surgery, which I wasn't willing to do SO...
I started a low cab diet. Today is my fifth day and I've lost 7 pounds. I'm now down to 247. Even if it is water weight, I'm so excited to see that scale move! The first three days were kind of a nightmare- headaches, sleep issues, and depression. However, as time goes on and I find more foods I can eat (or ways to make them) I am thinking I can actually do this! Today will be my first day back at the gym since I have started Low carbing it, because I haven't had a lot of energy, but it feels like it's coming back a little.
Thanks for reading everyone. I greatly appreciate you're support.
PS- I keep reading it's not ok to drink caffeine- something about it effecting the production of insulin? or something like that... anyway, I take a one a day for and it has 130 mg of caffeine. Do you think that's ok?
See you guys soon!
