Hi, I started doing Atkins in October 2008. I am down 26 pds. This is my third time doing Atkins. It seems I get the pregnancy bug and then don't do it for how long. But this time I have decided to do this for life. I am also not being so hard on myself. It seems before if I fell off, I would beat myself up and then just quit. This time I have decided that if I fall off for a day I give myself that time to enjoy what I would not normally have and jump right back on the diet the next day. It seems to work for me. This way I am not so upset about not being able to have chocolate or chips. Because before this I was a huge junkfood junky... I find that I don't want it as much as I used to knowing that I can have it if I choose to give up a day of success. :)
Well I look forward to being a member of this forum. I will try to get on here and post each day.. NO PROMISES... :)
How do you add the weight loss tickers and the weight goals to your posts? Thanks

Welcome to the forums! I do the exact same thing as you. Whenever I feel the urge to cheat and feel like I desperately need chocolate or something, I'll let myself have whatever I want and go right back on plan the next day. It totally works because it lets you get rid of those cravings.
Oh and congrats on the 26 pounds lost!!!

Wow - can really relate to how when you used to fall off the plan you'd give up. That was me for a loooonnngggg time, but am happy to say that I no longer beat myself up that way. So welcome to the forums and congrats on your weight loss so far and congrats on finding a way of eating that works well for you - it's great. Look forward to seeing more posts keeping us up to date on your weight loss :)
