These are great to accompany egg white omelets in morning or any salad meal. Tuna can also be placed on top for a quick lunch or snack. They replace toast quite nicely. Good crunch and delicious.
One half whole-wheat pita bread (split along edges so that you have full round)
Take the split ww pita bread and with pastry brush, brush one side fully with olive oil. Sprinkle liberal amount of parmesan cheese on top.
Place in toaster oven at 300 F until nicely browned and bubbly.
Carb count depends on pita bread. (Using Mother Nature's pita bread avail. here in New Brunswick, it's 7 carbs)
