Hi Karen!

I'm excited about trying out some of your recipes, although I must admit, my cooking skills have much to be desired. Anyway, I have a question about salad dressing. I really like the flavor of ranch dressings, but for the most part I find the ones I purchase in the store overpowering. Is there a way to make a bottled ranch dressing milder in taste? I hope this isn't an offensive question like asking for ketchup to put on a filet.

BTW...I love seeing your photo in the forum pages. It's always a sign that sound advice and encouragement are to follow.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim, you flatter me too much!

To make your Ranch milder, add vegetable oil to it. You may may have to adjust it further with a bit of salt and vinegar for balance, but try the oil first and see what you think.

Hmm, there are so many people who use ranch, I should get going on an lowcarber.ca version.

Thanks so much Karen. I had tried water and milk, but that just made it taste nasty. I needed a specialist to walk me through it.
