Anyone try any of these?
Most popular ones contain white kidney bean extract
which supposedly supresses the body making the
enzyme amylase which is what breaks down carbs.
Too good to be true? Probably.
I just ordered C-120X from Swanson Vitamins.
The claim for this one is that a small pill will cause
50-75 mg of starchy carbs from being broken down.
I will run some tests on the product when I receive it
and post results.

I tried the Phase 2 carb Blocker, and as you can guess, nothing special to report in terms of lowering postprandial glucose, except some digestive incomfort in form of .. gas.
There is one medication that indeed works by slowing digestion of carbs (Acarbose) but side effects will make you think twice before cheating on your diet.;)

Want to know what slows carb absorbtion and costs pennies: it is vinegar:idea:: wine, white, apple cider, any vinegar as acetic acid. It is slows food digestion and blocks action of amylase, enzyme that breaks down carbs.
I try to have a salad with both lunch and dinner dressed with vinegar and some olive oil, or some pickles in vinegar, or other acidic food. Try it, it works better than carb blocking supplements without nasty side effects.
