I am new to this site and would love to hear the results people have gotten from the Meat and Egg program. I am planning on trying this myself for 2 reasons, 1 I have not patience for waiting for the weight to come off and 2 still have too many cravings and hunger. I think being able to read the results from people doing this or that have done this would be great.
Thank you,

I just started over the weekend, and I've dropped about 6 lbs. Biggest thing for me though was cutting out diet colas (coke, pepsi, etc.) and cutting WAY back on the cheese.

I've had steak, hamburger, and HB eggs. I have 12 range fed hens, so fresh eggs are in constant supply for me! ;-)

I am so jealous ! Mail me a hen ;)

I tried it but it really did nothing for me and I got bored within the first week. I lost 1 pound the week I was on. My results werenot normal though and people tend to do quite well.
LC is what works for me .. like my variety lol.

Stewie,

This is the time to develop patience in my humble opinion. It is something I have to deal with quite a bit.

If you are new to low carbing, I would recommend sticking with Atkins for now (I see you have put atkins in your profile).

I started out following Atkins but things just wouldn't move. I used M&E as a stall buster and lost 4 pounds in 4 days. Then I went to induction and stopped losing again. So I decided to just stick with M&E. Now that it is my regular WOE I don't drop a pound a day, more like 2-3 per week, depending on TOM or if I eat something that is not M or E. When I was following Atkins last time (before my last baby) I was losing about a pound a week. So I am happy with the results. Another benefit for me is that the lack of variety actually makes life more simple. Less groceries to buy and less cooking!

I started Atkins on Jan 15 of this year, fell off the wagon once..I switched to M&E on March 7, and have lost almost 53 lbs total so far. I guess you wouldn't call me a hardcore M&E'r.. I eat onions, green peppers, mushrooms in omelettes, cheddar cheese, mayo, horseradish, mustard, sour cream, cream cheese.. I drink Diet Coke... just got tired of forcing down a salad, or making sure had cabbage, or cauliflower with every meal.

Thank you for these last few posts. It is very helpful to see that there are people out there just like me that are losing and working towards the same numbers as myself. I agree that this should be very helpful to not have to worry so much about cooking and salads. I have no time for all that stuff. I have not been very compliant lately, had my daughter's 16th birthday party and it is so hard for me to get back into it again. Thanks for your support.

I had great success but could only stick with it for a week. Its the only thing that got me to goal-I was soooooooo stalled

If you do the M & E then make sure that when you decide to eat more carbs that you add them back in GRADUALLY! It's just like when somebody moves from Induction to OWL - they don't instantly add 15-20g carbs per day, right? Same thing with switching from m&e - gradually add in 5g carbs per week until you get up to Induction-levels of carbs, sticking to Induction friendly foods the whole time and you shouldn't have that quick weight gain that some people experience. It makes sense, doesn't it??

Ok, I'm in desperate need of help from people who have had success on M&E. I'm on my 3rd day of M&E, I kinda slipped yesterday evening, raspberries where involved, but it was only a little. Anyway I haven't lost 1lb since on M&E. I started M&E to try to break a stall that I have been in for several months now. I have posted questions about this before and have never gotten any feedback.
Can anyone give me suggestions about what I could do?

I've been doing M/E for the last 3 days. I'm actually doing day 3 right now, and I've dropped about 4 pounds. I don't mind that it's water weight... I feel good and energetic, so water weight leaving me is fine with me.

I tried to start last week, but couldn't shake the one dark beer with dinner that I'm accustomed to. So I binged a bit when I realized I was going to take the weekend off, then started back on Monday. This week suddenly I realize I don't crave that dark beer. Or sugar, and I LOVE sugar, candy, etc. But not this week.

I do still drink coffee and one or two diet cokes a day, though I crave water more than ever so the other drinks haven't been as appealing. Yay!

I don't know what I'll do after day 5 - possibly add in cabbage (which I like) or spinach. Overall this feels great to me, though at times I have to choke the meat down, as I don't always feel very hungry. This is also something new - I'm usually always hungry.
