Anybody know the difference between bacon and 'canadian bacon'? It says in SB that you are allowed to eat 'canadian bacon'. Now, i'm a canadian, and i'm not quite sure what this means, does it mean all bacon here or a specific kind? Can anybody enlighten me?

Canadian bacon is more like ham. Sometimes you see it covered with corn meal. It is significantly lower in fat than regular bacon is.

Canadian bacon is a form of ham. Because the SBD is lower fat, they encourage you to eat Canadian bacon because regular bacon is very high fat.

In my experience, Canadian bacon is round and looks like a thin piece of ham. Regular bacon usually comes is strips or you can buy it in slabs and slice it yourself. You can actually see all the fat in regular bacon. They both come from the pig, but like the other posters have stated, Canadian bacon contains less fat.

FYI "Peameal Bacon" and "Cornmeal Bacon" are both the exact same thing as "Canadian Bacon".

Yeah? I've never seen it that way; is it as tasty as it sounds? Wait - don't answer that.
