Of course loser in a good way because hopefuly I can also be a loser one day. I'm very excited about my weight loss journey for 2006. I tried low carbing about 2 yrs ago and was successful...I lost about 40lbs. I was motivated and strict. Of course I gained it ALL back and now it's time to be a loser again. I've been lurking in here and trying different recipes for a variety...I was upset that my scale went up a lb today. I made the deep dish pizza quiche thingie ( that was SO good) and my scale still dropped a lb on sat-sun. Yesterday I made the same thing but used veggies, low carb alfredo sauce ( which should have had less sugar than the pizza sauce), chicken and alfredo...hence the morning 1 lb gain. Why do u think it went up? Are those induction friendly recipes? Thank you for your upcoming support

Welcome to a good discussion. Most of us have stopped and started LC more than once before we finally made the commitment to LC for life.

Weight loss is rarely a linear thing. Ups and downs of several pounds in the course of a day are common. The truth is, weight loss is secondary to learning how to eat in a new way. If you do that, you'll not only lose the weight over time, you'll have a strategy to KEEP IT OFF for life.

As for the recipes--just compare the ingredients to your "allowable foods" list on induction. You can use www.fitday.com to enter your daily foods, or to check the ingredients on a label or in a recipe.

Best wishes.

Thank you for your response. I wonder if the sauces threw me off track because everything else was acceptable. Or it may have been too much cheese. I've never used fitday before and I will start using it....it looks like a good site. Thank you so much!

You roughly are starting at the same point I did 4+ months ago.
I found it to go very smoothly and quickly. I can't believe how much I lost without even thinking about it. I decided to do this, changed my level of carb intake, and have never veered from it except for eating more of what I like and what I can. Be careful of prepared tomato sauces, they tend to have properties that make you retain fluid. That might be the reason for your tiny gain.

Hi! I am new as well...posting for the first time today also. And like you (and many others I'm sure) I lost about 40lbs a year ago but needless to say gained about 25 of it back. It's great to meet you and hear your enthusiasm! Deep Dish pizza quiche? Now that sounds like a recipe I need to get ahold of! Do you know where I can find it?
