Hi everyone. Just started Atkins a month ago and have lost 16 pounds. I am very excited! My sister started like 2 months ago, only losing 10. I feel sorry for her. Wish she could lose more. :help:
Look forward to talking with you all.

I am really excited to lose this weight. I don't know about you, but I have tried every diet, only to gain the weight plus more back. I was always thin my whole life until I got pregnant, 16 years ago, I had gained 60 pounds! I've had a very hard time keeping the weight off since. My body seemed to be happy at my pregnant weight for years and I would always gain back to the weight I was when I was pregnant. Now within the last 2 years I've gained weight even past my pregnant weight, an extra 25 pounds. OUCH, that hurts. Well, I am determined to lose, I love Atkins, it's really easy. You never seem hungry and there are soo many choices. I really think that I just can't tolerate carbs. Thanks again, my name is Laura by the way. If you'd like to write back, what is your name? Thanks again and good luck to you also, I see you are pretty new to the diet. How long have you been on the diet, and are you on Atkins? Sorry if I'm asking dumb questions, but this is my first day on this site. And how do you get all the cute smilies to come up, I don't see that right now on the reply an option to add any smilies. ;( oh well!
Take care!
(lots of smiles to you)
Laura

Hi Laura...my friends call me CP. As for being new on here, that I am. I use to belong to another group and just switched over a few days ago. I'm on Atkins, it works best for me and yes, it's so easy to follow. Do you have the Atkins book or sources to get info for the diet? I lost 42 lbs a few yrs. ago, but fell off the carbs wagon http://www.geocities.com/dia_47/bawl2.gifand gained it back. I'm bound and determined to get it off and keep it off this time. I started back on Jan. 2, 05 and as of today....I've lost 22 lbs. wooohooo! Ihttp://www.geocities.com/dia_47/DRINK1.gif lots of water. 70 to 80 ozs. a day. I've found that having all the right foods in the house helps alot, plus I always carry a tote bag when I leave the house, full of pork rinds, veggies and protein. This stops you from going astray http://www.geocities.com/dia_47/03.gif

To get the smiles on the reply box...you need to click on the advanced button, it's right under the text box. I have my own collection of smiles that I've found all over the internet. Well it's time for me to get dinner started. Have a great evening. See ya soon.

NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS.
