1/2 c Almond Flour (6 carbs)
1 egg
1 tsp extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/4 tsp salt

Mix and press with wax paper and rolling pin on a pizza pan. Bake 5 min in 350 oven.

Spread Hunts Oregano Garlic Tomato Sauce, , sprinkle with sweetener (optional), top with mozarella or Havarti cheese and any other legal fixins. Bake for 10 min. The kids even like this one.

Have you noticed any stalls while using almond flour?

I think I will give this one a try. It will be good for a special treat. I have been craving pizza lately.

I forgot to mention that I printed this off from a SCD Website. A man named John Higgins from Conneticut came up with the recipe.

I tried this last night and honestly it wasn't what I imagined.

For starters, making it with 1/2 cup of almond flour didn't even cover have the pizza pan. Then I made it with one cup, BUT had to throw it out because when I used the wax paper to cover and spread, the entire thing stuck firmly to the wax paper - couldn't even peel it off. So, I made one more batch, oiled the wax paper and finally got it on the pan.

I didn't really care for the taste and it was hard to eat as a "slice." I'm thinking this might actually make a better pie crust or something like that with a little doctoring?

I am sorry you had bad luck with the recipe. You shouldn't of had to throw out the batter that stuck to the wax paper. Just scrape off into the bowl and get a different piece. I only had that trouble once. The idea for spraying with oil is great.

I even make this for the daycare kids I keep and they all just love it. Says its the best pizza they have ever eaten. I do sprinkle raw sugar on the sauce when I make it for them. But I like it alot without and with Splenda too.

I guess that shows that everyone has different tastes.

I just made this pizza, I scope it out and put the almond crust in a pie pan, I just think you need to cook it longer to get it a little bit crispy. I use the fresh tomatoes from my garden and use a little sauce(sauce from the jar is higher carbs), toped with sliced mozorella cheese, sprinkled with bacon bits and extra virgin olive oil baked until cheese was boublie. (Excellent!!!!!!!!) try this receipe. thanks
