Hello yall! I have tried low carb before and lost a little weight for about a month. I gained 5 lbs back out of the 15 I lost. I am back and trying to make it my woe instead of a fad to look good in a new outfit now. I started back on November 20, slipped up on Thanksgiving but today is a new day and my short term goal is 10 lbs by Xmas. Do u think that is unrealistic. I'm 30 years old and not very active. :o I have lost 5 so far :D . I love reading the threads on this site and feel they are very helpful. I'm sure to succeed with this support group. Thanks in advance and I'm looking forward to talking with you all. :agree:

Hi!
I'm new too , to this forum and to this way of life so am finding it a great place for information - so much in fact that I have to drag myself away from the info and remember to post once in a while!

Hope you enjoy it too and good luck with your goal! :)

Hi Happy! I don't know how tall you are or your body type. I am 5"6', and athletically built. I hide weight really easily. For me 130 is unatainable, or going from the weight you are at, it would only be 5lbs (which is still good and healthy) weight loss, if that, a month. But my Mom, who is the same height as me has a different build than I do. 160 on her is aweful, and she would lose the weight fast to 130 because 160 is too big for her. I would imagine that you would lose at least 5lbs amonth. Hopefully more. I think we are too young for 30 to really matter. I've had a full hysterectomy and I'm in menopause, and still losing weight. ;) I'm young though. 28. With 4 kids.

We'll get this weight off. ;)

.. Oh! Don't forget to drink your water. I get my water intake done with in the am, so I'm not in the bathroom ALL day. As for faster weight loss, I've read that for every 30min of exercise, it's equal to 1hr. So if you want to try to speed up the weight loss, that might help. I'm with ya, on the 10lbs by Christmas.

Welcome to the forum! I don't know if 10 pounds is doable by Christmas (I know I couldn't do it, but I am a slow loser). But anywho, it's great to have you here.
