Exercise appears to help keep you mentally sharp as you age, according to a study of 5,925 women aged 65 and older covering six to eight years.
Those who exercised the most had a lower percentage (17%) of
individuals who suffered measurable cognitive decline than those who exercised least (24%). Put another way, “For every mile women walked, they reduced their risk of lower mental function by 13%,” said The Washington Post (July 31).
