Hi-
I am new on these boards but I have done Atkins for over a year till I got pregnant. I have since had my daughter ( she is 7 weeks!) My question is what cna I do to lose weight. The only thing that works for me is Atkins. I have been trying to do a modify Atkins. I will eat eggs with chesse and bacon or sauasge. I have snacks of fruit-ex-apples, bannans, pears, oranges. I also do snack on peanuts-honey roasted-I know not good but I still love them! I have salads a lot also. I just have read that it's not good to go into ketsois while nursing. So I have been trying to do 60g a day or less. JUst looking for some info. Thanks-
Whitney

Hi Whitney!

Welcome to the forum. I don't have any answers for you concerning the breastfeeding. I just wanted to welcome you and say 'hi!'. I know there are a few mom's on here who have been faced with your situation - hopefully they will be along shortly to offer you some help.

In the meantime - welcome aboard! It's very nice to have you here!

Welcome back and congratulations on your little one! Your plan to eat while low-carbing and breastfeeding sounds nutritious and sound. I certainly don't know much about it though hopefully someone here will. You are doing a great thing for your baby's healthy start and breastfeeding will burn up calories and speed your weight loss :).

Thanks so much for the kind welcoming! :D I have noticed that I have lost some more in inches but not in weight. Then again that is how it was when I did induction the first time! I just hope it won't take 2 years to lose my pregnancy weight! Today is my son's 3rd birthday party and I know today will be crazy with eating. I think this is one of the hardest times for me -is when family get togthers. Granted almost all of us do some form of Atkins. :p
Thanks again-Hope everyone is having a good weekend-
