This is my first Day on Atkins. I am very excited. "They" say you can loose 5- 10 pounds in the first two weeks. So I will have to see for myself. I am a huge fan of pasta and bread. So this wi be a tough one. I am 23 years old I have two chidren. And I am 46 pounds overweight. My current weight is 186. I am at high risk for developing type II diabetes. Any support one can give will be much appreciated.

For some the weight comes off quickly, for others very slowly--just follow the program and you'll see results. Be sure you eat enough veggies and drink plenty of water.

Welcome to the board!!! Everyone can be different in rate of weight lose. Look at the final goal...not the journey.
