Simple quacamole is the best snack ever and I have read a lot of comments from people who are new to this Tex-Mex staple so here is my favorite recipe:

1 Avacado (mashed to you liking)
1 tsp lime juice (fresh is best but bottled will do)
1/4 tsp garlic salt (I just sprinkle until it tastes right)
1/4 tsp paprika (chili powder or coriander work too for different flavors)
1 Tbsp full fat sour cream (no light stuff and Daisy brand is best)

If you like onions, cilantro or tomatoes, those are common additions that I personally avoid but many consider essential.

Mix up and enjoy with just about anything. Pork rinds are my low-carb favorite. Awesome on a pile of taco meet with cheese, lettuce and extra sour cream, etc. Perfect on burgers, with low-carb veggies, or on top of a salad.

When I lived in Tx and worked at a TexMex restaurant we made guac like this

Mashed fresh avacados
fresh salsa
diced red onion
dash of salt and pepper
cilantro
lime juice
And if your up for spice
sorrano peppers!!!!

Mixed together and it's so YUMMY!!! I love it with pork rinds
