Chello everybody. :dazzle: I have a question.

I understand how eliminating most carbs, leaves
alcohol and fat to burn on this diet, or just basically.

So why do we need to consume HIGH amounts of
fat to lose better in this WOL?

I was just reading in the book about how and in
what order we burn the different fuels...so to speak;
and i am just a little stumped on that one.

What does the *high* amounts of fat do; compared
to if we had lower amounts. :exclm:

Just a guess, really, but I think it just helps kick the fat burning in gear. If you keep you fats lower, your system maybe sluggish, and can work slower to burn the food. With a higher amount of fats in your diet, you system has to work harder to burn it, setting up the speed.

Stella, this post is from the Hot Links! sticky uptop this forum (a great place to spend some time ;) ). It's the best explanation of why LC should be high fat.

Afraid to eat fat (http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?s=&postid=263355#post263355)
