Hello and welcome to the forum! Fatigue is common in the first week or two and then you will start to feel better. Some have described the bad feeling as flu like symptoms. Your body is just adjusting to this new way of life. Be sure you are drinking all your water (64 oz per day plus an additional 8 oz for every 25 lbs you want to lose), taking your vitamins (here is a good link to refer to Vitamins & Supplements (http://www.everythingatkins.net/suzyqposts.html#vitamins)) and eating all your allowed carbs.

I wish you much success!! http://members.aol.com/PrariRoz/goodluck.gif

Thanks for saying Hi so fast! I'm a water hound. Drink all the time...well I stop about 6 pm so I can sleep some! I have a rookie question. Is there an ideal # of grams of protein to eat? Couldn't find that in the Atkins book or on any low carb web sites.

You're welcome :) From reading the forum, I have seen people recommend eating 70% fat, about 5-6% carbs and the rest in protein. You can use Fitday.com to keep track of your percentages and calories for the day. You may have to adjust your percentages to what works best for you, but I find I lose more when I eat 65-70% fat. I try to keep my calories at 10-12 times my goal weight! :)
