My wife and I spent a weekend with LC friends last summer and I checked Protein Power out of the library that Monday. Although I am a person of sudden enthusiasms and would have jumped into careful and close calculations and records of everything, my wife's level-headedness prevailed (as it has so often since we married in 1968) and we undertook LC-EZ. That is, we just cut out the worst offenders (potatoes, grains, sugar) and made sure we ate plenty of protein. We lost about 20 lbs by late November, then plateaued for a while, then dropped a little more than 5 more each this year.

We have been doing a Slow Burn weight training routine for a couple of months and feel it is working well
