Yeah, I read an article recently and a study was done using Zyban alone, patch alone and a combination of Zyban and the patch. The people using the combination were the most successful at quitting. So, first thing Friday morning (after the gym, of course ;) ) I'm going to buy the patches and continue to take the zyban. I have noticed that my appetite has decreased since I started.

REALLY, really weird crazy dreams, I tell ya :daze: :spin:
Did you have that side effect??

Yes, I did have the same side effects. I think vivid dreams is a side effect of Zyban (Wellbutrin). But those dreams go away once you stop the Zyban.
I've tried to quit many times and the Zyban/patch combination was the only thing that worked for me.

Well, most of the way thru my first day! Things are going well--the Wellbutrin (Zyban) is taking the 'need' to smoke away and the patch is doing pretty good with the physical craving for the nicotine. I'm not getting too excited, tho, because I still want to smoke!! I'm hoping this will all pass as time goes by and am just taking it 1 hour at a time.

Nicole- How is the quit going? Do you have any good/ bad info to pass on about the patches & zyban combo?
Yesterday was my quit day, and I am wearing a trusty patch... which burns! And also I was a computer vegetable yesterday, read every post on kicking smoking. Ordered Zyban online. Low and behold it is already in front of me, at 10:30am! Ah the wonders of technology. So, I read the pamphlet that shipped with the zyban and it's telling me about possible seizures and blood pressure problems! I'm a little freaked out about not getting it from a doctor  Have you had any problems? Now that I've paid $173 for this, I'm scared of it! Haven't smoked since 5/28 but feeling pretty panicky from time to time when I want one... Please tell me it's not that bad! (unless it is?)
