Okay, guys, I've been lurking for some time now, it's time I jumped in and introduced myself. I just had my first child in June of this year. I am 33 years old, 5'5 tall, weighed 135 before getting pregnant, and am currently 145 (6 months post-partum). I have been drawn to the LC way of life because my old low-fat method of losing weight was simply not working (maybe a change in metabolism and other physical changes due to child birth) so I figured I needed a complete change in dietary thinking. Now I want to continue to make this my way of life after I (hopefully) reach my goal of 135 pounds. Anyone else out there drawn to the LC way of life in an initial attempt to lose the post-baby weight and, if so, how is it working for you?

Hi there! Boy can I relate to wanting to lose the baby fat. I had my 5th in June and I need to lose about 50 lbs. to get back down to where I was after I had my first baby 7 years ago. This last pregnancy was difficult as I was on bedrest for quite a while due to placenta complications and gained 50 lbs. I have been pretty bummed out due to the weight gain. I know this wae can help. I tried in in Nov. and then fell off the wagon a few weeks into it. I'm going at it again hopefully with success. Good luck to you!
