Default Atkins Vs Weight Watchers a friendly article.

I like the outcome of this article.

Article on Which diet actually works

The Long and short of it is something I tend to say.. "If it works for you more power to you."

That was an interesting article.

My issue with the final suggestion leads you to believe that people that do Atkins won't be healthy in the long run and that really bugs me.

I mean if there was any actual data to back up how Heart Assoc attests to how the Atkins diet is so unhealthy, wouldn't that have been news in the past 20 year.

But it was pretty unbiased and that is rare.

The article was decent but....whatever you do, don't scroll down and read the comments from people after the article.

One guy actually suggests his own diet of a normal breakfast and lunch, but only BEER for dinner! Others bash Weight Watchers and Atkins with thoroughly uninformed opinions.

I generally don't like reading about diets as "diets" anyway. I'm in this for the long haul.

Thumbs down Definitely don't read the comments

Boy, no kidding about the comments. There's some lousy attitudes there and offensive material. I'm no angel, but I really appreciate that we keep it clean around here. I think it takes a little more thought to express yourself without debasing yourself.

Let's just put it this way in my opinion... Atkins is not really for life... It's more like Atkin's has motivated you to understand the ways of eating.

I mean one can't be serious to be on Atkin's induction for the rest of their life.

More like following Atkins in such a way that leads to a more healthier life with low carbs say 50-80g with the occasional splurge of holidays.... just that we won't be making everyday a holiday meal

but I think the article takes Atkins diet for life literally .... It's more the essence of a moderated Atkins that we should all follow.

Yes, the media is slowly but surely getting out of the Atkins=induction myth. Wish it were made more clear more often. Induction is two weeks, naysayers!

Heh... you can do induction as LONG as you please! Well, until you're ready to drop droppin them pounds. I'm not doggin induction. But induction for life is not most people's experience with Atkins and the public should know that.

Eat those salads with gusto!
