Talking Guveche

After lurking for few months and picking up on your meal ideas, I thought that its only fair to share back some of the foods that I have discovered to be working well with me.

So here they go:

Guveche

This is a version from an eastern European recipe. I use the special clay pot, but I am sure that anything similar will work equally well. It is just yummy and very flavoursome.

Crumble some feta cheese in your cooking pot
Saute vegetables of your choice in olive oil (I use pepper, zuchini and mushrooms) and when they just start to get soft pour them on top of the cheese
Cut whatever meat you have (I use smoked pork neck and/or italian sausage) and put that in too.
Mix lightly
Finally brake egg/s on top of it all (I use 2)
Cover and bake for about 40 min on 180C or ... 350F or until the eggs are cooked.
Eat!
Around 5-7gr of Carbs

I use the lightly fried veggies for another quick one. Just put them on the bottom of a baking dish reasonably thinly and sprinkle them with mozzarela and parmezan then bake until the cheese browns and then eat with a little garlic yoghurt.
