actually according to fitday the carb count on that recipe is pretty high

Fat: 34
Sat: 17
Poly: 2
Mono: 11
Carbs: 21
Fiber: 1

( I excluded the fish from the count)

onions 2, heavy cream 2, eggs 1, rice flour 16.

All flours are very carby even in small quantities. Rice flour is even higher in carbs than regular wheat flour.

BTW I did an almost identical recipe recently but with no flour to bind the cakes. They had to be handled very delicately but still held together pretty much.

Now why did I read Rice Flour.....maybe I need new glasses lol.

The count for onions was for green onions, I know they are lower in carbs than regular onions.

On a different note, I looked up the carb count on something I just bought. It's called Hempseed Flour 1.15, slightly less carby than Soy Flour. It's described as a "High in protein with a tasty nutty flavour"

I'll try your recipe with that flour. I love fishcakes !

I think you will like it, the onions were not like huge onions they were about the diameter of a pencil very small.

Hope you like them
