Default Calm Down.....

your hair will be gray in the a.m. Yes! After the 3 days .....Now don't click off... you can do it for three
days... I've gone without for 2 months, maybe longer
JO makes this nut thing on the stove, sounds like something you'd like. I think its on one of our GO threads. I'll find it and let u know.
The sample from the net dosen't list it all. Since none of us have a book yet... I'm going to say any cheese based unsweetened
dressing is okay...(can be sweetened by you) since I know
sour cream is okay on trasition and since mayo and unsweetened condiments are okay...he//s be//s you've got salad dressing right there.

Default Are we SERIOUS...

Or WHAT!!!???

We IS a GROUP!!!

It's a real simple list, you can print the whole second chapter of the book which gives the three day transitional foods, plus the WHOLE DIET. If you aren't interested in the other stuff..the hows and whys...you never even have to buy the book.

I think that was right nice of the GOod Doctors.

Buttermilk is icky...the kind in the store. If you make real butter from your whole cream and drink the stuff that comes off that when the fat is gone...that's GOOD buttermilk! But it is worth a try anyway. A cup of some fermented food or beverage (yogurt, kefir, buttermilk) every day is the whole of that "rule."

Yeah, I think avocados are ok, even though they are not officially listed. The idea of the three days is to get rid of carbs...the stuff "regular" people eat...which we probably don't or eat way less of since we have been lcing for a bit. EAt the avocados before they get icky!

Save the alcohol for three days. YOU CAN DO IT! Sunday Monday Tuesday...it will be ok!!! Promise.
Think of it as aging the wine to perfection! We can all do a cybertoast on Wednesday evening to celebrate the end of the three days!

Did I miss any questions? Concerns? Let me go check...ok...well, RECOMMENDED salad dressing is olive oil based. I use Caesar occassionally ranch or olive oil and balsamic vinegar (not allowed for the three days though). As for livening up the yogurt...buy some flavorings and add a bit (start small) to make whatever no-extra-carb flavor you like. I have coconut, lemon, vanilla (of course), but there are many others in the spice aisle. After the three days you can add berries or half a peach, that makes it really yummy.

The nuts treat is NICE! almonds and/or walnuts sauteed/toasted in butter with sweetener and cinnamon (today I added nutmeg too...mmmmm...kept me out of the baked goods at the meeting!) It's not my creation, and I've heard others also do a piquant version with chili powder and worcestershire or something...sounds ok but right now I need the sweet.

I think that covers it. Will check in in the morning. OH! For the first time ever I took the topping off the pizza tonite and threw out the crust. Mmmmm...it was ok, maybe on a finn crisp next time. But better than munching 9000 carbs! I ate four frosted animal cookies for 18g though. *sigh*

Hey GT...thanks for setting this up. May try to invite the DJ person. Don't even know if she has been online or not. Anway...later!
LocaJo a GOGO!!

Default WE is family...I got all my sisters and me...

JO,
getting concerened that you might have taken a ferry to Yugoslavia to pick up some bacteria laced product that was the answer to Botox and Viagra........(should u ever make such a trip
send me some)
Yes, where is this dj person ......heard (she?) was thinking of the GO....I think bblondie is in touch with (her?)
Well, since sour cream is not listed on the "LIST" but is in some recipies I thought there might be other items that we might be unaware of. I get kinda "lost" on the GO site....not as user friendly as this one.......
Thank u for giving the okay on avacados!!!!! I bought 10 of them.
around here they are HIGH priced items....Ohians don't do avacados like we Califorinians....so when I saw them 10 for 1.00$
I went nuts.
On my way to WallyWorld to pick up forgotton items..wish I could
remember what they were.....maybe by the time I get there
So far this a.m. 1 1/2 coffees with french vanilla cream (ff)
eat when I get back.........
BACK..... B. 1 sm. avacado stuffed with tuna that was mixed
w/ Hellmann's Herb Sensation
20 oz. water

okay I bought a cauliflower...want to mash it like menu suggests,
someone work me through this one.......And what to top with?????
L. 1 piece provolone cheese sandwinched by two
pieces of salami w/ mustard
1 vanilla yogurt
1 20oz water
WAKE-UP bblondie..........

Default Good Morning All!!

I'm up Greentea. LocaJo, you are a wealth of information! Making butter from the whole cream?? Wow, you guys are serious.

Ok, I'm on my way. Does the 3 day induction usually have a loss in weight like the atkins induction? I'd be happy w/ a pound now!

If u can't have berries during the induction what do u put in the yogurt shake??

Are u guys going to post your daily food on this site??

Happy to be a fellower GOer,
Bblondie

Talking Trouble keeping up here!

Ok...yippee day ONE!!

BB-I do NOT make butter from cream. I have in the past. I also do NOT drink buttermilk from the store. Serious, yes, ridiculous...only on purpose with words!! Use the flavoring in your shake. Try to eat very plainly maybe...it's only three days. Use the three day list. And If you NEED to do something else well, Nobody is gooing to SCREAM at you...'cept maybe you.. I really believe this is not an occassion to beat yourself up, but an opportunity to see where you really are and to mabye take another step forward. I don't believe you get the big whoosh that folks often get with Atkins. It's three days, not 2 weeks, and you can EAT carbs like vegies and good for you stuff. Definitely not Atkins. My guess is that we will lose a bit more water weight and hopefully it will stay away. Post what you like...food is always helpful...just to see what's going on. That's my opinion...GT?

GT- Yugoslavia? Too much strife there. All I have to do is go to Mendoccino County CA! It's right next door to Humboldt County, the Marijuana Capital of the World!!! And WHICH are you interested in...the VIAGRA or the BOTOX!! (I don't need puffy...puffy I got...but the viagra might be useful

Can't PM DJ, she doesn't post enough yet. (Took me awhile to figure that one out!) Leave a note for her in your thread BB and I will too.

As I said ^ up there, do what you gotta do with the food...you are the only one whose opinion really matters. This is YOUR (MY)diet/WOE/PLAN!!!
(See how not controlling and not anal I can be!!)
Stick as close as you can (or want) to the three day list and see what happens. I think the recipes are probably for later on in the diet after the first three days when you add the fiber and the good fats to a healthy level.

But I do ASK WHY???? Like GT, why do you use that fake cream stuff? And is it Sugarfree as well as fat free??? I was SOOO happy to go back to real cream from HALFNHALF, which is as low as I would go for WW. Just curious. AND, what IS your blood type, anyway...if that's not too personal a question.

I have a good recipe for "party potatoes ala Cauliflower." cook, mash, puree, whatever...add butter, cream cheese, sour cream...salt pepper paprika. Bake until brown on top. Can get you amounts if you are interested. It is NOT low fat!

Ok...so I am up against some hard moments here. Church starts today after the summer off. (made it through the meeting and the youth group ok yesterday) After church it's "Go in Peace but stay for Coffee", which amounts to ALL KINDS OF USUALLY HIGH CARB FOODS to put in mouth while visiting. I spell challenge U-N-I-T-A-R-I-A-N-COFFEEHOUR!!!!

Going to go pick blackberries this afternoon to make another batch of wine (wheeee! but it's not ready to drink yet BB!) Then out to dinner in LaConner WA...big tourist town, i am looking for a pillow shaped like an otter!! And I am getting a hair cut this afternoon. You guys care to share a picture of yourselves? I won't unless you do!! OK. Off to get all clean for church! Be back this evening!

Default Pictures??

Yea, pictures sounds like fun. Will take me a while to find a good one. I will work on it. But you guys go ahead while i'm looking.

I agree locajo! Coffee w/ real cream is what gets me out of bed in the morning. I love it. I always drank skim too, but this is such a luxury. Give in GT.

Breakfast was yogurt w/ nuts. Still hungry! I boiled some eggs for lunch.
The califlower dish sounds great. I will try that.
I like the idea of soy choc milk. How many carbs does it have? Do you guys use flax seed. I use to use it before LCing on my oatmeal.

OH SURE bblondie,
"You guys go ahead" LOL......was I born on a turkey truck
(well maybe...but)
Don't use flax....maybe I'll get some....wheat germ out?
ERFYBT says no to wheat 4 me......so maybe I'll leave that one alone.
Going to roll some meatballs....back later
soy choc. 23 carbs.... but how many does buttermilk have?
GO says NO milk!!!! Then why buttermilk? Store didn't have any
so couldn't check it out
GT

Back w/ food
D- 6 meatballs w/ tomato and basil sauce
1 c asparagus
I feel like I've eaten an entire cow, oh add water to that.
Don't think I've got this bug entirely out of my system,
what little I did today has exhausted me!
can't wait to hear your dinners

I think it's a turnip truck GT not a turkey truck. Or maybe you were born on a turkey truck. lol
Ok, I went thru about 5 years worth of pics and not one by myself looked any good. I have 3 rolls of film to bring in. Hopefully in them. But really, you guys go ahead and I'll be right behind you.

Here is my food:
yogurt and nuts and coffee w/ CREAM

2 hardboiled eggs w/ blue cheese and piece of swiss

pork chops and salad w/ egg and blue cheese.

I was really hungry today and I snacked on: walnuts, yogurt w/ vanilla, 1/2 banana (no no), swiss cheese in blue cheese.

Is there a limit to the amount of yogurt? I really am loving having it and I'm afraid I might be over doing it. Kind of like my peanut thing GT.
