Amber...

I really don't know a lot about using stacks, however I believe that you will find all of the information you need in this thread:

Trainer Dan is our resident expert and I'm sure he'd be happy to help you out.

Hi there... I am hanging in there. Finding time is proving to be my weakness. But I am going swimming tonight.

Checking in for Monday, Cardio workout bumped up to 30 minutes total, warmup, workout, cool down. Looking at starting resistance training in a couple weeks. Plan on going on thermogenics cycle as well. Read TrainerDans book and will start putting plan together this weekend.

Hey all!

I went through all 14 pages of the thermogenics sticky and someone asked my question, but it never got answered. If I feel brave enough, I might go over there and ask The Master my question, but for now, I'm just glad I'm feeling great!

Good for you on the swimming. Hope you had a great time at it. Do they have aquasize classes where you swim?

The thing about exercise and time is that we need to make it a priority. It's part of the package of what we are doing to get ourselves healthier than we can remember being.

There is such a difference in how I look and feel at 167 compared to how I looked and felt and 143 for five years. I'm in much better shape now than I was then and I'm actually smaller. That's what exercise has done for me. Plus the benefit of being able to keep my calories higher because I'm more active.

Luxsit...
Sounds like quite a plan you have happening there! Good going!

Amber....LOL......I know that Dan would be happy to answer you. Go ahead! Ask. And you shall receive.

From personal experience, I have seen changes on the scale/tape measure in as little as 2 weeks.

Visible results should be in 3 - 4 weeks or so. But, as with anything else, people respond differently to things. Your results may differ.

The stack acts rather quickly, and visile results are determined by the amount of fat that is obscuring definition. If there is more ther covering up your definition, then it may take longer to "see" results.

That's where the tape measure/pants test come in handy.

Someone noticed!!!!!!! That my belly is going down! Now granted it was my Mother, but... seeing as how she is around me all the time... she would have a harder time seeing a small differance than someone who only sees me sometimes. So that felt good! I'm still at it and plan to work harder on my Legs and butt... I don't really care to start my walking again anytime soon. The smoke here is still bad. But I think I will find other ways to get in some aerobics, other than walking and my exercise program...

Just checking in..........

It's Thursday and I've gotten in one UBWO, one LBWO and today I'm heading out to run intervals on the street for my cardio. The neck problem that I woke up with on Monday morning has settled down (thank goodness) and I'm ready to run!!

Dan.....Thanks for popping in and the answer on Stacks!!

Linda.....Good news about your mom noticing the difference!! Please let us know what you decide on for cardio. It's gotta be good to have a repetoire of cardio exercise so that we can avoid getting bored and enjoy some variety!

OK [hangs head in shame] I have to admit to missing two workouts this week. Two consecutive workouts, both due to lack of sleep then oversleep.

But, I am back on track as of yesterday's LBWO, and today's 20 min of cardio.

I am looking into getting treadmill, since my son has expressed an interest. He needs to get some exercise, and he can't stand the NordicTrack. Poor kid – he's always been wiry and athletic, but adolescence has been unkind, and he's put on some weight. His soccer coach would like him to run 20min, 3x a week, so I'm glad that I'm already setting a good example. (well, mostly!)

Talking Good Friday Morning Everyone!

Thank you Dan, for coming in and answering when I didn't have the guts to go to the exercise forum! I know you are very busy and that makes it so appreciated!

I'm going to measure myself once a week because even though I haven't lost more than a few pounds in the last 7 weeks, I have lost several inches and went from a 16 in the end of June to a size 12 now.

Marlaine - I know what you're talking about with the weight/size stuff. My husband SWEARS I'm the same size I was when we got married now, but I am just more compact! I had quite a bit of flab then, but I've got less fat and more muscle now. I can't wait until he sees me when I AM that weight again!

Linda - Great news on your mom noticing! It took me losing 35 POUNDS before anyone noticed my weight loss!! It drove me crazy!

rhu - I got all of my exercise in, but I cheated big time on Sunday! The great thing is that we both got right back to it! You go do your exercise like a good girl, and I won't stuff my face, and we'll both be all right!

Lux - I wish I could do 25 minutes on a crosstrainer! I'm building myself up slowly but surely. Great job on your dedication. I wanna be like you!

Oh, I did my weights yesterday and will do weights and cardio today for a total of 5 days weights, 4 days cardio. I'm also going on a bike ride tonight, but I don't count stuff like that into my official exercise.

Shelly - hope you're still going stong!

Talon - NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG! Do your exercise!! NAG NAG NAG NAG NAG!! I hate it when people nag me! I'm sure you're keeping it up, you're doing so well now! I love the feeling of going a bit further than the last time!

See you all later! Amber

Actually I need the nagging, I didn't do my exercise yesterday - I was tired after work, which is really no excuse. I will do them today though, cause ya nagged me.

I have been very busy this week.
mon. 2.2 miles
wed 2.2 miles
fri. 3.2 miles
I walked every day except thrus. In stead I went water skiing. Firt time in 15 yrs. It took me three tries to get up on one ski but it was worth it.
It's friday evening and I am very sore all over it feels like someone hit me all over with a two-by- four.

I am not losing any weight. I had a small slip and 175g of carbs on wed. I did think it was bad at the time.
My army school was canceled so I will not be signing off on the 13 sept any more.
Keep up the exersize.
Fred

Did an UBWO at home today for the first time and quite enjoyed it! Chose to do it this way today because I've been feeling a bit wiped out all week after the neck incident. Was feeling a lot better today and am planning to do my cardio tomorrow, early in the morning and on the street.

Labour Day weekend is here. I'll be working a shift everyday. Hope the rest of you get to relax and enjoy!

Talking Happy Labor Day!

Hope everyone is "laboring" for their daily exercise!

O.K. I said I was going to try to do my weights and cardio with low carb, but it's kicking my behind by Friday! So, I'm switching to CKD. I just did a carb up on Sat. night and Sun. all day. I'll tell you, boy, was I a slug by 8:00 last night. I wanted to burn off those carbs so bad I almost tied myself to a chair! Needless to say, I was extremely happy to do cardio this morning! I did 10 min. moderate walking, then 30-60 second jog to run with 1 minute moderate walking for 15 minutes, then walking cooldown. I think the other people on the street thought I was crazy......look at that overweight woman running like a fool with a goofy grin on her face like it is some climactic experience! (It was !)

Anyway, I'm changing my workouts, too. M-T-W-F, I'll be doing 35-45 minutes interval cardio, and M-W-F, I'm doing full body weight training. I've done the cardio today and I'll do weights this afternoon. I'm still taking the stack, but I'm not yet running out and buying the shakes and drink and stuff. I still want to eat real food!

See everyone later! Have a great day and I hope you are off work for it!

Amber
