Good luck with that!!

If you succeed, do let me know your method.

I did it in just a couple weeks.

If you need a jump start, seriously, try th 90 day challenge. I did.

Nancy - thank you for posting this. I've been beating up on myself for caving more than staying OP over the past couple of years. And this caving comes after years of being OP. It's good to read about similarities from other "veterans."

Good to know I'm not alone! I'm down 9 pounds. I've been eating dairy and I hurt all over. Dairy is so great for LC but it is really hard on my body.

Longish Intermittent Fasting, which I love, really, really, really, triggers Off Plan for me. I've lately gone back to simple 24 fasts, which hardly count in my mind, to help me stay away from the bad stuffs.

I just spent a couple weeks in Wyoming, and then camping in Vermont which gave me all kinds of excuses to eat bread in the great outdoors. If you look on my nightstand, you'll see Tums.

I've made the self-discovery that fasting of any sort makes me compulsive about eating.

Everything comes so much easier when there's distance between you and your last "oops". I try to remember that when I'm in Walmart waiting in line.

Walmart is tough for me because I hate that store. I experience so much frustration there and a bag of M&Ms is how I would soothe my anger.

My body tolerates small amounts of HWC and cheese, but sour cream triggers me. I like sweet/sour/salty contrast in my foods and sour cream welcomes too many on plan over-indulgences. (Here I consciously omit food porn. )

Since I'm the only one in the house who eats LC, my pantry is always full of obstacles. When the desire builds up in me, it's all within easy reach. Does anybody else track the timing? Mine seems to be monthly. I had a hysterectomy in 1981 so haven't got a clue where that coincides with my old cycle.

Nancy, give yourself more time in LC. I noticed LC phases, meaning when just back to LC, Ihad to eat 3 meals and day and an evening snack. Eventually as time goes on and presumably keotosis is ramping UP, two meals is more than enonough... THEN just ONE. ONE!!!

I had planned to skip eating tomorrow, and not eat angain until noon time on FRiday...... but Im nervous I will cave and binge. Not sure I am far enough into ketosis to stave off the hunger.

You know yourself the best.

Bluesinger, interesting - I believe I too experience phantom PMS, at 65. Well, it feels just like the hangries I got back then (when I rarely dieted), and it does not seem to relate to how much I have recently been eating or exercising. I have not paid particular attention to whether these days come round in a cycle, and goodness knows how it relates to something that petered out well over 10 years ago.

When I have gone Off Plan, I can usually look back and identify the trigger. It is usually some type of anxiety or feeling overwhelmed. I am trying to remember the old HALT technique- to not let myself get too Hungry, Angry, Lonely or Tired.

Last Off Plan day was about 2 weeks ago- a family gathering where my brother and his wife were arguing, and 2 nieces were doing sisterly bickering all day. No one got super-loud, but there was just this pervasive rudeness, and unpleasantness...

Anyway, I intend to keep doing my best to live and learn, to adopt strategies, and to make my health a priority. This forum helps tremendously!
