Everything about weight loss is individual. There is always someone who does it different, and it works. I really understand about the snacking after dinner, and what you do seems like a good idea to combat that, Mycie.

My step-son and his wife never eat dinner before 7PM. And they are both thin and healthy.

I have found that whatever I eat after around 8 pm is adding calories I did not need. Because when I do eat something at midnight or even wake up too early and eat something because I'm hungry, I don't lose weight. If I don't eat late at night, I will stay the same or lose weight overnight. I just feel that I lose weight during sleep if I eat carefully and not too much. But if I had too much, it is going to be laid down as new fat. I solve that by eating less the next day. Then the new fat doesn't stay there permanently.

I don,t lose well if I eat after 6. Its a tuff one because my dh doen,t seem to stop eating after 6 pm. I won,t even be thinking about food and poof he comes to bed with a plateful of cheese and nuts or cheese and meat. Its all low carb but it stops my weight loss in its tracks. I also sleep better with out it.

I did threaten to sleep in burlap if he keeps it up . The stupid thing is any other time of the day and I would just walk by cheese without a second thought. He only does this when eating low carb. When I was in the weigh loss mode earlier this year I just had a tub of sf jello when he was having his cheese and nut tray at night. I need to get back to that mind frame.

I hope your husband is the one responsible for making the bed and laundering the greasy, crumby, food-smelling linens.
