carb nite #2 last night, hence the gain
i'm VERY tired today; only got about 3 hrs sleep
BUT, i went for my annual check up this morning, and my doc is thrilled with my health
so in the past 30 days or so, i have been to my allergist, dermatologist, gyn, and pcp. i've gotten my mammogram, a bone density test, and blood work.
all great reports and i think i'm ready to rock for the next year

Himi: Your daughter's voice is beautiful! I love music and can somewhat carry a tune as long as the music is loud and others are singing. I could never sing a solo. But the positive thing is that I know my limitations. Sometimes I see these people audition for these music shows and it's like "Can't they hear themselves sing???" Mady can definitely sing!!

Sorry you are bouncing around! Induction usually works for me, but as you realize, it is easier when you can do it at a time where you know you can be successful!

Paulette: So glad this plan is working for you! And for the whoosh to your new low. The 100's are really close! I do not envy the fact that you are due for 14" of snow. We were so fortunate this year. We had snow on the ground for most of the winter, but we did not have large accumulations at one time. That is tough for snow removal on the roads, roofs and sidewalks. Hopefully, it won't last real long!

Chrissie: So glad to hear about your good health reports! Isn't it odd how anxious we are to go to the doctors when we are losing weight and healthier, but avoid it when the weight is up and we are unhealthy and really need to go. Between the carbs and no sleep, the gain is not a surprise. But with the CN plan, you will lose it quickly. Don't let that number on the scale get you down!

Kathy: You seem to work a lot of hours too at times. Unlike me, you probably have a little larger paycheck. I love my job so much, I work all the extra hours for fun...and for free. I do enjoy a lot of what I do, but it is starting to be way too many hours. Hope you enjoyed the evening with your parents. You have a nice loss so far this week.

Jodi: Good loss, Jodi. And congrats on getting back into the 140's. You are on your way.

Cricket: You are really hanging out in the mable mobile! Relative to the videos, I at least have DSL, but I still have trouble with a lot of videos. When loading, it just spins. Yesterday, our internet seemed to be working a little better. Nothing was working over the weekend. A lot of us on this team seem to live in rural, dirt road country!

Got my taxes dropped off...just waiting for the verdict! If we owe, it won't be a good thing. We have property taxes due the first of May and we usually go to Myrtle Beach in early May. I usually use our tax "refund" for vacation and to pay property taxes, but if we owe, I will have to come up with money for all three things! Even if we get a refund, it won't be a big one.

GREAT to get your tax stuff IN!!! You may love your job but it is killing you too often !!! Still say you need a PT assistant. We pay not one cent in property tax here. If a person is disabled or 65 then no tax! Gotta love that! YEs on the great spinning video moment! We are actually only one.2 miles from the very main rd that goes throught a few states! And this is a paved road. Just country enough to not get cable service.

Up .4 today. I have developed a pattern of fluxing up right after my post-CN whoosh. The whoosh must deplete some internal juices which then must return.

HIMI - sorry for the name mix-up. I must have seen it on the FB page and mixed them up! Good luck with the taxes! And perhaps it is good to go induction for a week. Bouncing around the same number is OK, but when it stretches into months and months it can get disheartening! I hope the induction gets things moving again for you.

BARB - Taxes. ARG. I hope you get a refund. But if there is self-employment involved and no payments were made through the year, you may have to owe. I hope that is not the case with you. Make sure every little thing you can think of is deducted. Every tool, scrap of paper, stamp and of course, mileage! Remember - to avoid taxes is perfectly legal...to evade is illegal. So deduct everything!

CRICKY - will today be the day you see a loss???????? I am SO praying it will be so! And tell JODI congrats on her fine losses! She seems to be doing great on the CN plan!

KATHY - Did your Mom show interest in starting CNS? What does she think of it all? I speak of my plan with my Mom, but I know it is not something she wishes to do. She is pretty much housebound and purely sedentary. She tries to watch her food intake but has gained weight this past year none-the-less. Only because she eats far too many carby foods and gets zero activity. I have been making sure she gets enough protein, though, and that is so important with her. But she is still set in her ways. I hope your Mom is receptive to your suggestions.

The snow has not started for us yet. It should be here soon!!!!! The forecast still shows 2 full days of snow for us. I hope we get lucky and only see a few inches. We have been lucky in avoiding big storms this year. Let's see if the luck continues....

Yesterday I was unable to make a burger because Ed ate all the patties. So I made a big cod fillet instead. And today I have leftovers! So Baked Cod & tartar are on the lunch docket for today. Tonight I will have a salad with either shrimp or tuna. And I will soon turn into a sea creature because of all the food from the sea! It is getting to the point where I can now understand what TUNA and DONUT are saying.....

I STILL have a bit of work to do for the mailer today, so no off-day for me yet. Tomorrow is my planned CN so I will definitely be off for that. You all have a great day!

I can't believe I am awake at 5:43am after not getting home from moms till after 1am! She kept me in the casino 7.5 hours including bingo...nice thing is overall I came out $5 ahead which is cool. I know have to go with her at 7am. After a short nap and hours of tossing and turning I just decided to get up for the day and weigh and have a small breakfast.
My mom got the CNS book and has decided to give it 1 month. I don't anticipate her doing it forever but when she did Atkins she ended up stopping a MAJOR 12pk a day diet coke habit so even though she didn't stay with it she still benefited in a big way. I figure doing this beats eating a 6pk of pecan twirls every night so....She's dragging me to the commisary on the base and sprouts, trader joes and whole foods today to get as much of the stuff as she can that Keifer suggests and we're going to go ahead and do her 9 day meal plan. she is going to start Saturday so her CN days will fall on Mondays so we can enjoy them together. I'll enjoy the company for as long as she hangs in there...

Paulette that little bounce is nothing you are still doing so great this game. that whole BMI thing is so crazy. I have to be 140 to be "normal". I'm so looking forward to my CN on Monday. I'm heading to a mexican place called La Hacienda. What's the name of the one you like to go to? I hope you get your mailer done sooner rather than later so you can have some rest time later.

Cricket like me you rarely hang out in Mable. I can't imagine how anyone stays the same for so long...now you know how Chrissie feels quite often...she's the Mable Queen for sure. I hope you get out soon before you dethrone her.

Yea Jodi for getting back into the 140's...i'm right behind you chasing down like a doggie chasing the mailman. I'm sorry you will continue on graves but I definitely appreciate the company.

KATHY - congrats on your continued losses! And congrats on being $5 richer! It's great your Mom is going to try this CNS plan. Sounds like she has some bad habits to break. If anything, it will help to let her break the bad snacking habit! Weight loss will certainly occur from that! How FUN to have a companion to share the CN! - Our Mexican place is called El Azteca. And they have some great low carb choices! - I think that the whole BMI thing is a bit linear. It does not take age or physical build in mind. But it is a good reference to go by. According to my BMI, I am still considered OBESE. And I don't feel obese any longer. I would certainly consider myself overweight, though. But according to the BMI calculation, I will continue to be obese until I get UNDER 200 lbs. Sigh.

TY PAULETTE~ I had to go back twice to delete the * off others too last night.

I did loose finally..0.8. Early morning it had 163.8 for a large gain so this is better!! I am still bloated! Have no clue what tomorrow will bring. WIll discuss my CN on in the CN thread.
Had a busy shopping morning and got a ride in. Looks like the rains are coming fast!

major WHOOSH of -3.2 this morning!
i gained 3.5 from monday's cn, so i am just about even again
got some really GREAT solid sleep last night too
