Positive attitudes and a sense of humor is a big help.
Every passing moment is another chance to turn it all around!
FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION! .....NASA (and US!)
WE DO NOT FAIL BECAUSE WE KEEP TRYING,
IT IS NOT THE HAND YOU WERE DEALT BUT THE WAY YOU PLAY THAT HAND THAT COUNTS!
We have learned and keep learning how our bodies adjust to the ever changing dynamics of life. We follow the Philosophies set forth by DR ATKINS in DANDR..1972 or 1992 versions.
It does not get easier as we get to goal and we accept that we will keep trying and not give in to old habits. We move forward, even if we take steps backward, we strive for success.
WE ARE THE A-TEAM!

I got a whoosh! Yay!
You had just a tiny gain today Paulette-- I hope that it slides ride off with the rest of it once you are done with the hormones and the TURBO-TOM... you sooo desrve a week-long-WONDER-WHOOSHIE.
Chrissie, chicken salad sounds good. except I might like it to be buffalo blue cheese chicken salad.... hmmmmmm......
Cricket I am not big on trophy hunting but I do support hunting in general, both for meat, and where necessary, for population health and control-- For example in my no-longer-rural-turning-suburban-area I would rather see a calculated number of deer taken by hunters each fall when they are at their fattest, than waste away and starve over the winter, or and/or become even more of a hazard as they are already being hit on the roads in droves. If, in the process, someone takes a buck with a big rack they want to have mounted, its no biggie to me.... as long as they dont waste the rest.
I suppose there might be some young people who get the wrong teaching about life and violence by having inappropriate experience/teachings about hunting, however, based on my son and his friends, I think the video and computer games out there have much more to do with attitudes about violence today. My son played some "war" games (has pretty much outgrown it now, but I bet he still has a few
) He didnt play the weird zombie ones, serial killer types, or the ones that killed women and children or depicted street violence or devil worship/evil etc-- but even the "basic" war-type games most kids consider skill-based and "mild" are pretty graphic and bloody compared to what we saw on TV or the movies as kids-- the other more sinister types of games go much further. Its scary and there are kids locked up in their rooms playing these things for hours a day and all night long.
