This is really common Jeanette1 and doesn't mean much. It is because water is replacing the fat in your cells One day you'll wake up and whoosh, it will all be gone. I spent more than two weeks at 177 (with varying decimal points) and then have lost 3 pounds in a few days. As long as you're eating low carb you'll lose.

If you're worried, record your food. that will tell you if you're consistently eating more than you need or what your patterns of intake are. it's what I do, then I don't have to worry when my body does this to me. Be patient. good luck.

And congrats for sticking to the plan. that's awesome.

Louise

BevAngel: Belated Happy Birthday! Bummer about the 178 but what the heck. Life is too short to not enjoy a day out with family and friends. I am licking my chops over even the thought of steak and garlic shrimp from Outback. You did it up big but you also did it up "right". You have a good attitude and I know you will get back to that 178 before you know it.

Louise- it is funny thought you say that because I do feel bloated like I am retaining water- what the heck? When I did Atkins the first time I never retained water???

09/02: 178 back down again so I am going to go ahead and change my profile to record this as my new real weight since I already had my "3 days at/below this weight" at the end of last month. Thankfully my garlic buttered shrimp and steak birthday celebration did no permanent damage...and yes, it was delicious!

Weezy, Congrats on reaching the halfway mark! That's really awesome.

Welcome to newlowC, curlygirl4, gloquilts, elJohnW and nrracing. Glad to have you aboard! Hope I didn't miss anybody new.
