OOOOKKKK... WIll freeze the berries for sale or make preserves for myself and freeze as usual. For holiday giftes I'll keep making the expensive rum fruit cakes everyone loves..only make 3 of them a year now...!

PAULETTE: Great idea for the color scheme! Very appropriate for the 4th. I tried to copy it when I posted. Sorry about your gain. I was up a pound today too. I haven't been eating breakfast and eating at the festival all week so there aren't many good food choices. Today's the last day and I plan on starting induction tomorrow.

CRICKET: You will get back down into the 130's...the same as I will get over this gain and get into the 170's. You have the knowledge and determination and it looks like you and JODI are now on the right track so it will happen. Too little sleep and too much festival food for me this week, but I am back on induction tomorrow.

You asked if the festival was something I had to do. It isn't, but we live in a small rural area and this is the highlight of our summer...or maybe the whole year. February is too cold and snowy to do much so most of the fun events are held during this summer festival. It was always a week I spent with my cousin, who lives in FL. She would spend 5-6 weeks here in the summer and we would spend the week in the park with her mom and my other aunt who are in their 80's. My cousin is 1 year older than me and our families grew up together in a double house so she was more like a sister and best friend than a distance cousin. (She is actually my husband's first cousin also....but be assured that my husband and I are not blood related!) 2 1/2 years ago, a week after she turned 54, she had a major stroke and has been in a nursing home with the inability to move anything on her left side. She is pretty good otherwise, but has days that are worse than others.

She was always vibrant and active, maintained her weight fairly well and ate a lot more healthy than I did. I always felt like I should have been the one who was more at risk than her. She always did a lot for her mom and our other aunt when she was home and her mom continues to enjoy spending time in the park this week. She has a little bit of trouble getting around so I try to help out as much as I can since my cousin is no longer here to do it. It's a little bit conflicting for me emotionally because it was something we always enjoyed together. Anyway..only one more evening and I'll be back in my regular routine.

Sorry for your slight gains, HIMI and LISA. Don't let it deter you. You'll be back on the slight soon.

Hope KATHY, SUNNY and CHRISSIE are enjoying their vacays! Miss hearing from them.

I'll be back posting on a regular basis. I tried to this past week, but I was getting up and 5A and not going to sleep until after midnight. When I would get on the computer at night in an attempt to update, I would find myself falling asleep. So, I wasn't sure how much sense I would make if I tried to post.

Have a great July 4th, but try not to party too hard. It sounds like you have a plan in place CRICKETT and PAULETTE to stay on Plan. You will be successful if you "plan" to stay on "Plan"!

HI BARB~~ That is sad about your cousin.We just never know what the future holds. We see skinny and healthy athletes drop from sudden cardiac arrest, while others are couch potatoes and junk foodies and never have a problem. We just never know. I lived in a small town in upstate NY so do understand the country community spitit. We have some of that here but just a few miles away is the state fait grouns better known as THE PEANUT FESTIVAL... stupid name for the fair grod I know!. Fireworks and fair stuff is there tonight. I'll watch the display from the horse field

I will be happy to have you join me in induction. Basicaly that is what I have been doing for ages and certainly since that big gain. It is a good thing to revisit to reset our metabolism and our mindset.

Don't worry about your posts, They have been great!

Finally I cooked the package of bacon I had. Date was until the end of this month. It did taste a little odd. Did not stop me from having a few slices though. I cannot recall when I last had bacon. So, later it is tuna salad again. not as well made but filling.

Yaay, slide! But weird, as my carbs and calories were up a little comparered to the last 2 days when I had tiny gains.... oh well, maybe my body needed a little "shake it up baby" .

HIMI~~ great~~ and that is exactly correct! Alternate the amounts. as long as they are in range it helps

I made an error..I had been writing the stats for Jodi one day off so what I had for today was yesterday etc.. today she is 139...the brat!

She has been having a LOT of fats in way of MAYO as a dip and with her foods and pork rinds. She is not bothered very much by dietary sodium. She had that gain as she siad due to water retention in her muscles and just dropped it. Wish I could as easily!!

LISA... A LITTLE FRUIT will not cause a gain and will have no imact on the ketosis. SO, if you show a gain, it is more than that dear friend

My legs are getting tired from this trampoline. Gain in numbers again is not fun at all. Yes, I KNOW it will settle down, but look at how much fun my metabolism is having with this set point. Today I decided to have 2 fried eggs in coconut oil spray, 2 slices of Gwalney bacon ( one serving) and a mug of coffee w/ HC 3 oz. I am full without the coffee but I hope to get some GI motility going.
Picking is what we will do as if that is a big surprise. Too many beries to NOT pick them, even though sales are pretty much gone now. WAY to early in the season for that to happen! Hoping for road traffic.I'll put abother sign out on the highwy soon. There are always a few bags to be sold at the pool.
Going to ride today and want to try that gelding of Jodi's "BANNER" I do hope we get along. He's fine but it is ME that will be nervous and NOT show it! I know how to relax the body even if the brain is on overdrive.

So, hopefully you all have a better Sunday weigh in than I did!

I am not at home and will not be able to weigh in for at least another day. Ed's Dad is dying and we are at the nursing home with him and will be staying at his brother's for the next couple days.

HIMI... SLIDE IT IS !!..had T-STORMS all day so NO RIDE
In between the rain we did get one of the mounting stations moved. It was by the 120 ft round pen in front for me to use with Cookie. Fact is, I use the one by the wash racks so that does not get used as I thought it owuld. Now it is in the first pasture where Cookie, Dolly, Barney and Banner are. Funny thing is, the poly tape electric fencing and wire is not working right now and BANNER crawls bewteen the barrier freely letting himslef into the 2nd pasture as well! TOO FUNNY! THere is ia new border coming ( happens with a bording business ) and the mare will be in the 2nd pasture with I think Dolly who needs to learn that she is not pushing EVERYONE out of their feed buckets ( except for COOKIE who has her bluffed)... that leaves Cookie Banner and Barney down here and that should be OK. I do not like to ride in pastures where horses are, espcially with Cookie since she is so ..well.. rather strong!
I am really considering finding a dead quiet halter horse to breed her to. She is a fantastic pleasure horse if she can leave her attitude in a closet. Have not fount the closet that is big enough though! Her daddy is a National Champ and grand sire world, and they have/had terrible attuitudes!!! So I found out from a fellow that worked with them!!
Oh well....

In between the rain we did get one of the mounting stations moved. It was by the 120 ft round pen in front for me to use with Cookie. Fact is, I use the one by the wash racks so that does not get used as I thought it owuld. Now it is in the first pasture where Cookie, Dolly, Barney and Banner are. AND JODI is back up .. so we both ride the see saw! She is 143 again.. and like before it is all water!

LISA... get a hold of things now GF! No more LITTLE things until you lose one pound! THERE is my challenge to you.

I will be out of ketosis unless pigs have learned to fly and the Easter Bunny visits me! i dcided to toss out the low carbs and tempt glycemic loads with my fill of berries. I went through the grove sampling and ejoying instead od quality taste and spits. With all the rain we have had the grove is absolutely amazing. Never have seen it so bountiful. I will be giving bags away to people that have been kind to us. Letter carriers. doc, nurses, appointment staff, DDS, and their staff...and fellows that work with Carl. We have at least 1,000 pounds still on the bushes to be picked NOW. No way is that happening .I will be freezing as I said for us. With any luck, since the coffe had no results, the berries will! LOL>>

ABOUT the week long challenge.. do you think 3 pounds is tooo much? We can do ONE POUND! and then antoher week up it to 1.5 and so on etc. Let me know what you think
