Hi everyone! I see a lot of losses and everyone seems to be doing great! We traveled out of the state to my in-laws and I didn't have any access to the internet or the scale. I almost dragged mine along, but we only took one suitcase and I didn't want my husband to think I was obsessed with weighing in. (Years ago, he actually hid my scale as any small gain would depress me and eventually derail my weight loss. I have since learned that small weight fluctuations are normal and I don't let it bother me. I never did find that scale!!)

I ate on plan for the most part, but we ate out every meal so the portions were probably larger than I normally eat and you can never be totally certain of the carb counts when eating out. I didn't eat bread or order what I normally would when eating high carb, so I should be okay. With sitting in the car for 7 hours today, I feel like I'm retaining fluid tonight, but hopefully things will be back to normal within a day or so. I'll weigh myself tomorrow morning, but won't be surprised if I see a gain due to the extra fluid.

Good luck with visiting your family, Bev. Sometimes it's hard to stay on track when you can't weigh and you are tempted with all of that great southern cooking. However, once you return home and can get back into your normal routine, you'll be fine.

OH. MY. GOD. I just realized that my BMI just dropped below 40. I am no longer morbidly obese, just plain old obese. Still very fat, but nice to see that 'severely obese' label go away. Wooooo!

I am hoping this is mostly water weight. I did really well with my food choices and actually had fish and vegetables Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. However, we ate out most of our meals and you can't always tell if there are hidden carbs. I did have one planned cheat with eating a NJ sub which we can't get in our area. (To be honest, it wasn't even as good as it usually is and I regretted eating it.) Also, 7 hours sitting in the car didn't help my tendency to retain fluid.

Back to strict low carb today to see if I can quickly get rid of these extra pounds!
