2/1: 198
2/2: 198
2/3: 199
2/3: 198 - YAY! Yesterday's "semi-egg fast" must have helped because the scale did not continue to go up as expected!

I say "semi-egg fast" because, although I followed the egg fast diet for breakfast and lunch, I wound up having a small piece of grilled salmon over salad composed of fresh spinach and celery with a few pomegranate arils and a mayo based salad dressing for dinner. Hubby insisted on SOMETHING other than an egg-based meal and, as you know, I'm too lazy to cook two different dinners.

Think I'll continue this "semi-egg fast" thing for a few more days and see how it goes. I'm wondering if maybe the nuts I've been eating for snacks have been contributing to my slowed-down weight loss. Yesterday I replaced my typical nut snacks with a couple of hard-boiled eggs.

Turtle - looking forward to seeing how your egg-fast works for you too.

Roz - you continue to AMAZE me! Am following your continued downward zoom with bated breath. Can't wait to see you post pictures.

Jess - you're zooming down again! Good for you! Ride that whoosh as long as possible!

Toddy - fingers crossed for you to reach onederland very very soon. I just know you'll get there this time around. And there is something about getting that scale under 200, I know.

LindaLove - welcome! We're looking forward to getting to know you!

gonwtwindo - good luck at the aunts' house. Visiting relatives who don't understand low carb eating can be a real minefield. Even worse is if they actively oppose your WOE. I know, I have a brother whom I love dearly who thinks LC is absolutely unhealthy so, the last time I visited him, he and his wife fed me a ridiculously high carb lunch. Seriously... Potato soup and grilled cheese on white bread sandwiches with pineapple upside down cake for dessert. A week's worth of carbs in one meal. Just do the best you can and, if you wind up feeling like you HAVE to go off plan for the sake of love for your aunts and family peace, it's not that big a deal. Just get back on plan as soon as possible and forget about it. You will recover!

LC for LIFE!

Definite movement in the right direction again! And the egg fast (or, in my case, semi-egg fast) certainly got me back into Keto quickly and killed the HUNGRIES that resulted from my frozen-fudge binge.

Turtle - no more week-long cheats! NO! NO! You cheat, you come here and you admit it IMMEDIATELY. You hear me girl! We have all done it so we'll understand. But, for me at least, just fessing up to having gone off track and thinking about and writing down what I'm planning to do to get back on track seems to help me recover. Maybe it is just that the last thing I ever want to do is have to come back here a second, a third, or a fourth day in a row and admit to y'all that I'm STILL off my WOE helps me keep a cheat day from turning into a cheat week. Whatever works!

Welcome Trya! I've seen your posts on the "Spring countdown" thread. I think it'll be good to look back once a week and see how things are going but I also really really like these monthly threads where one does a daily post. Helps to keep me honest on a daily basis! Plus I feel like I get to know the folks on this thread a bit better so that I feel freer to bemoan my daily setbacks and celebrate my daily successes.

My gut feeling is, I don't believe the scale. This is probably a blip and I will bounce back up.

It's similar to the way I felt when I went from an XL to a Medium or Small back when I first LC'd and lost 60 lbs. I just could not really believe I was a Medium...like, that Medium or Small I bought last week was an anomaly, etc. And the next time I went in a dressing room, I took Large's, which were curiously too big. It took me a full year to quit picking up clothes to try on that were too big. What's wrong with my brain??
