I'm in!

My problem is not straying off plan, my problem is not logging my food and therefore eating too many calories. So my goal is to log every day for 90 days. I haven't done that in months. Yesterday was my first day logging after having a nasty cold so I will call yesterday, day 1.

B: Eggs scrambled in butter over a bed of spinach
L: Lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, mayo
D: Pork loin, cauliflower mash, asparagus
S: HM LC frozen cheese cake bites (hwc, cream cheese, vanilla, erythritol)

All on plan and within cals/carbs. I needed that.

Default Day 5 of 90 - Total consecutive days on plan 271

B: Coffee with CO/HWC and a fat bomb
L: Spinach, Ham & Cheese omelette and fried salami
D: Chicken thigh, carrot sticks, cottage cheese, mixed veggies w/ butter
Snacks: Fat bomb & peperoni stick

I had an opportunity to talk LCHF to some strangers today. I walk at a local school practice track. There are big grassy fields all around and lots of people bring dogs there to get some exercise. One of the regulars had noticed my weight loss and asked me what I was doing (smartly assuming that it wasn't just walking). All I can say is that if you ask, be prepared for a long answer. They seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say.

A FAT BOMB is a low carb confection that you keep in the freezer or fridge. They are high in fats and the typical serving has < 1 carb. If you google FAT BOMB RECIPE - you can find a bunch of different versions. I've tried several and some are definitely better than others.

Here is an example that someone posted to this forum...

Fat Bomb Recipe on Lowcarber.org

I use them as a snack if I get a little hungry between meals. I will also have one as a meal replacement from time to time (as I did today). Fat is very satisfying and because there is no sugar, I can actually stop at just one. Fat bombs 'work' for me. Some people don't do well with them and others don't see the point. I don't use them as often as I used to, but they were a big help in getting me started on this WOE.

I'm here! Friday was a success for me too. We had chili and boiled hot dogs for lunch at work. I had a small bowl of chili & 3 hot dogs. For dinner I had a couple bowls of my version of homemade chili with spaghetti squash.

Yesterday, we walked 2.2 miles in 40 minutes in the 30 degree weather. I ate hard boiled eggs, meatballs, cheese sticks & a bacon cheeseburger with broc & ranch. It was a good day, but thoughts of eating something breaded & fried danced in my head all day.

I'm so glad I abstained.

I'm not sure what's on the menu today. I need to make some soup for the week...chicken & veg, here I come!

Default Day2 of logging

Thanks for the welcome!!

Made it to day 2

B: Pork loin chop, mixed green veg with butter
L: HM soup (chicken, bacon, veg), lettuce, cucumber, mayo
D: Pork roast, cauli mash, mixed green veg
S: Frozen cheese cake bites

All within cals/carbs

I am off on Tuesday to visit my MIL and usually don't log when I travel but I will this time! I will not be worrying about cals as I won't have total control over foods but will make sure to log and keep carbs in check. I bring my own flax bread and nut butter for breakfast as that is the one meal that she only ever has carby things. She knows I don't eat wheat, so this does not offend her.

I am excited about the prospect of getting rid of another 15 lbs or so over the next 90 days. I haven't lost anything in the last several months because I haven't been logging regularly. This thread came at a perfect time. Thank you!

Pam

FYI- There are 2 weigh ins currently in place in the TDC. There is a weekly that's been running for a few years now. There is also a daily one.
Feel free to join either or both!

Day 9 of 90... 31 total days of being cheat free!

I was 5 pounds down this morning. That pesky 2.5 gain I have been living with for a week was gone along with 2.5 more this morning! I am so excited!

Still on plan. I had chicken and mashed cauliflower last night and it was SO GOOD. Bacon and eggs for breakfast. My energy is through the roof and it feels so good!

I had an M&M 2 days ago but Im not counting it! It was hiding in a bowl of mixed nuts and I ate it entirely by accident. Fortunately it didn't cause any cravings. I was pretty upset at first but got over it. I wasn't in a situation where I could spit it and the nuts out or I would have! lol

Hope everyone is having a great weekend! I know I am!
