Thenagain, that does sound like fun! I did that too recently, reworked everything in my closet and tossed out a lot of stuff in the donation pile, made room for NEW clothes! PS--your username reminds me of a song... by that guy--what's his name? It eludes me for the moment.....famous singer.....hmm?

I like that when the sun hits my thighs just right, I can see contouring there, shadowy parts that were never there before because they were taught and plump and fat!

Same for my upper arms--biceps area. No shadows there, but I CAN FEEL muscles in there now! Ha, I DO have some after all!

And yes yes, DO buy more jeans in a smaller size--great motivational tool!

Super job, everyone!! Let's keep going!!

PS-- posted my before / after photo yesterday on my LC FB page, WOW! Took a lot of humble guts and embarrassment to do it, but WOW what a difference 63lbs lost made of me! I feel ashamed AND victorious at the same time! Please check out my photos on my FB page-- link in my signature. Yipee!

I can cross my legs, sitting in church again. I don't do it for very long because it isn't that comfortable yet, but I can do it. I can also scratch my own back, all the way to my spine.

It's those small things that count The XL scrub pant I bought a couple of weeks ago felt a bit loose yesterday when I wore them for the first time.

I was thinking it was a song by Elton John??

Hey CallmeAnn, funny you mention the being able to scratch your entire spine, I can do that now too! Isn't that amazing? No need for a backscratcher anymore! Or a buttwiper, hahah! (Whatever THAT is, hahaah) But it's the truth--when you are really big, you literally can't wipe your butt clean!!!!!!!!!!!! The awful painful sad truth...........................

If the song is "Call Me Al" then it is Paul Simon.

How bout not only a new hole on my belt, but how bout a new hole on my watch. That's been the craziest thing - I still have to switch it back sometimes because I think I must get hot or something an fit gets tight again or I just swell, who knows!

When I first got the watch I wasn't sure I was actually going to be able to wear it, now it's loose! That's a NSV too I suppose, I probably hadn't worn a watch in 20+ Yeats because my wrist was too big!

Same here. Every time I got a watch, I'd have to choose a model where I could switch to a larger band purchased separately. Even then, it was too tight and I got in the habit of taking it off when I got to work. Now I'm 3 holes in in the watch band. Funny, but I'm still in the habit of taking my watch off when I get to my desk. I guess I got used to not wearing it.

Who would have thought that you'd lose so much around your wrist. I didn't think that I had fat wrists -- but I must have, since no watch would fit me out of the box.

A contractor that has seen me daily for the last 6 months said to me in passing "if you lose any more weight you're gonna disappear." I'm thinking to myself, "come on dude I weight 190 lbs at 5'6" I have a long way to go before that happens." BUT it made my day.

These confessions of NSV's are wonderful!

We all hear about moving a belt a notch or two, but a watch strap! WOW, that is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, we just need someone to come along and mention the holes in the straps on a pair of heels!

Or what else is there??

I have another small victory to add--how about the seat belt in the truck? I can get it to snap in place easily now--I don't have to suck in my gut and fumble with it as much as before. Losing some of my big belly meant it snaps in easier! YESSS!

Oh, I did have to tighten my sandal straps, they were getting too loose on me!

Just the other day I was thinking about how I always wore elastic waist pants, and now I can easily wear jeans with a front zipper and proper waist, and they are so comfortable, not cutting me in half at the waist.

And yes, my bras are all getting too big for me, that is going to be a big expense to replace because i have always needed custom bras.

Even in a smaller size, you need them custom fit? Not my beeswax of course, but that would be a perk.
