I was only in the 160's for a short time once in the last 20 years, so I am thrilled to death! I had a two month stall...mostly due to my own eating choices, but I am doing really well with my eating now. Even when I started induction again a few weeks ago after losing 40 lbs and stalling, for the first few days I kept thinking "I'm not going to be able to do this...I just want something to eat. How did I do it before and not think about food all the time." Then after a couple of days, the cravings stop completely and the hunger is gone. I also realized that even if I gave in and ate something thinking I would just eat a little bit, I would end up eating it and a bunch of different things and nothing would satisfy me. I now try not to eat anything after my supper meal and that has seemed to help with the weight loss.
I'm hoping to keep things going through the holidays. Fortunately for me, I don't do any baking since my husband and two of my boys are Type 1 diabetics. All three have had it since their teens. I think I've sometimes felt guilty about the fact that I am the only one overweight and I don't really have any health issues. I know the type they have isn't weight related, but it just didn't same fair. However, I knew if I didn't make some changes in my eating, I would eventually be looking at diabetes and other health problems. (My fasting blood sugars were starting to creep up to 101-105. The last time I checked it, it was 82.) I thought to myself that I can either make changes on my own and stop eating all the bread and sweets that I loved.....or I could wait and have no choice but to change my bad habits once I developed health issues. I'm so glad I took the initiative to do it on my own.
Thank you for sharing, Kosmo. And I am so happy for you reaching the 60's again!!

We ate out for two meals yesterday and although my food choices were on plan, I always seem to gain when I eat out. I had bacon and ate some nuts...which always seem to cause me problems. Maybe some of it is water weight and I'll get back down in a day or so. Tracking the daily weights really seem to help identify what works and what doesn't.
