I may try those. I always had a problem with the way Miracle Noodles smelled - even though I rinsed. The video on their website indicates the quest product smells like the ocean. We'll see. Too bad they are only available through the mail.

Seems they have the same ingredients as the miracle noodles (I think I heard the preservative is what results in the smell, though I could be wrong). I use the Miracle Rice, but here's the nutritionals for their Noodles (granted, from a third party site!). It's interesting that the values are a little different, but I'd guess that all of the '0's below are serving-dependent:
Miracle Noodle
Shirataki Pasta, Angel Hair

I think it's the same as shiritaki noodles. They're great, but they smell funny. Rinse them and cook 'em.

I had some of the quest pasta. The texture was awful, I couldn't eat them.

Yeah, calling shiritaki pasta is a bit of a stretch.

Have you guys tried making spaghetti from chicken?
Blend 2 chicken breats with some ice, should be failrly mushy texture, add to a piping bag with a small nozzle in and pipe into a pan boiling lightly salted water which is simmering for a few minutes.
Takes a bit pf practice but is worth it!

Tried shiritaki and hated them - but I'm a finicky eater. Only way to tell for you is to try one.

I eat a soy product from Dixie Diners called Skinni Spaghetti. Closest thing to real Spaghetti I've found, but don't overcook.

I could post a link, but I'm new here and not sure of the rules. They say no advertising, but I have nothing personally to gain by posting the link. Is this sort of thing common on this board? If a moderator is looking, please clarify the rules - thanks.

Bob

Bob-a -rama - i think its ok if you arent advertising your own product. But I am not 100% sure and i am also stil fairly new. But anyhow, i googled it and I will try these....they sound much more promising than the quest pasta (for my own taste anyways)

peauk, i will try the chicken ones too, that is very interesting! so they dont fall apart when boiling

I can't stomach the noodles. They are just to rubbery and don't hold sauce. Also, the smell is too "fishy" for me. I've never found a recipe to make them palatable.

Skinni Spaghetti - the moderators informed me that I can post a link as long as I am not making any money from it, so here goes:

Skinni Spaghetti at Linda's Diet Delights (it's also available at other sites - I've never bought from Linda, but it came up first)

Tastes almost like the real thing:

Thanks for sharing that link, Bob!
I took a look to see their ingredient list, here it is:
Quote:
Ingredients: Soy flour, soy protein concentrate, eggs, cereal fiber, carrogeenin, sea salt.

hmmmmmm, soy....not so good for many of us.
what is 'cereal fiber'? which grain did they use?
