It is High-intensity interval training. There is a thread about it and it was recommended by some LC gurus.

I'm doing some warm-up, then going as hard as I can for 1 minute, then slow and low intensity for 3 minutes. I do 6 reps, then cool down.

I do HIIT but not in a time formatted way but in a “what I can tolerate” way J. I will push hard for 30 seconds to get my heart rate to 160-170 then when my heart rate gets back to about 120 I will push again. I do that for about 30 min either on the treadmill or bike.

But on that note, I haven't been doing much of anything. Dr. confirmed I do have a broken tailbone so I have just been doing some leisurely walking. Might try for a bit more today and will post tomorrow.

You guys are doing great.

I can't wait till I'm properly back in the challenge. I actually find myself reading your posts and feeling disappointed that I’m so immobile right now. Wanting to exercise was never on my wish list before!

Kelly rest and get better! You will be twice as motivated and ready when you are healthy enough to return! How long before you can safely return to exercising?

I have been doing the intervals too, I will do 3 min running then fast walking. I don't time the intervals but get 3-4 burst in a 45min. WhenI i run I can get my hr to 160 but it takes about 1 minute to drop it back to under 130. When I first started exercising I couldn't run at all and could stay in my target hr with a fast walk. Glad to know I am getting fitter but feel slightly punished by having to work harder !

Sunday: 50 min treadmill

I'm thinking it's going to be a few more weeks. Dr. said about 6 weeks.

Hi everyone!! If it's not too late I would really also like to join.
I've been on Atkins 1 month and have lost 8lbs. I've been walking every other day for 1 hour on the treadmill(UGH!!)can't wait for nice weather to walk outside. Today I bought a rebounder, so I will be doing that the days that I am not walking, it's really Fun!!

Awesome! I jogged 30 minutes today at a steady pace a little faster than power walking!
